Every time I go to the mall and buy something I always go for the brand. If its selecting a good pair of football boots or any sports gear I'd go for the best brand. When Buying electronic stuff I always go for the best. I've been warned a lot of times to just go for the cheap one which is just the same quality but I just don't get the satisfaction.
Don't get me wrong, I don't like shopping or anything, Its just that I'm the stereotypical consumer.
What about you guys, do you go for the BRAND?

I am very price conscious, highly sensitive to price tags. That's why i don't buy unnecessary brand products without looking for the price first and the quality second. If i see it not worth the money i will go away no matter how branded the product is. For example shoes like Nike or Adidas are very expensive to me i won't buy them cause i believe they are not worth it.
Anyway other unbranded products can be good too if you examine them carefully before buying. I have bought many unbranded cloths, shoes, and jeans, etc. And compare to the branded one i bought a few in comparison very little differences except for the brand of course.
Some products doesn't need to be branded to be good. For example no point buying branded tooth brush because you will throw it very soon. I would rather buy affordable tooth brush in one many sets so that i can use and throw them whenever they got too dirty already.

I always go for the quality of the product, not of the brand. :) But then most of the brands really entail quality, so it's a chicken and egg thing.

When I buy somethings ,I rarely take the brand into consideration, especially for shoes and clothings. Many so-called foreign great brands are just made in China,I mean we know its cost clearly because the factory is near my house!
But for the electrical equipment ,I focus on the brand a little!
