Do you respond to emails from your upline sponsor?

I belong to a ptr website who sends me emails every time someone joins under me. Well I send a welcome email to the referral thanking them for joining and to email me if they have any questions. Guess, what? NO one replies, ever. What's up with that? With all the programs I joined, I got 1 email from my upline sponsor. Noone helps anyone for free any more. Does anyone else send welcome emails or receive them?

Hi, I send out welcome letters to my referrals but I don't expect to hear back. They just joined and I am introducing myself and thanking then. Since I am the referrer, I see it as my responsibility to maintain contact, not the other way around. Of course, it is nice and a pleasant surprise when it happens, but I really don't expect it. It seems today, with all this lightning fast technology, people are just busier than ever. Cell phone in one hand, ipod in another, etc., etc. I don't think people are even intentionally rude, just you don't hear so much about social graces as in time past, anybody remember Miss Manners? I can say I am surprised by the number of people who do not email me when I join THEIR programs. Actually, I feel like it is a pat on my back when it happens - I'm going an extra mile compared to them and I believe it will show up in my stats.

Yes, I also dont expect to hear from them either at this point in time. Now that I think of it, I only heard from one of my topline sponsors and she practically harrasses me. LOL Hmmm, something to think about...

You are right! It can be a fine line between being helpful and being harrassing. LOL. I get constant emails from someone about candles, and I only never actually signed up, just expressed interest. You would think after a while, they would just fade. I definitey don't want to do that. Actually, just had prayed about that and right away I thought about setting up a 1 page in blogger for my downline. A private blog with things just posted for them and maybe some perks. Gonna play around with that. I think I got an answer to my prayer really quick!

Some people will never do anything in any programme. No matter how helpful you are. I send welcome mails to all my downline. Some respond and some don't.
With some people it's just the timing isn't right. So I keep sending them the information. If they don't want it, they can always unsubscribe. Surprisingly, very few do that. They keep on taking the information.
Maybe one day, they'll write back but I don't count on it.
Concentrate on the ones that contact you. The others are not worth it.

Sorry. I plan on keep sending the emails. Good luck with getting more referrals, active ones, that is. : )

I used to welcome them all but as you say with no replies especially on the downline club type of sites. However there is one site wherei welcomed each and every one of my down-line that had their addy visible and something made this site different from the rest because of 21 mails sent I had 14 replies! I am still in contact with some of them and not just to talk about earning. On the same site my upline always informs of updates and at first I replied. Now we have a more friendly contact so I don't always reply as we seem to be in touch so often anyway regarding things other than that site.
I feel lots just join and then give up and all our efforts to contact them probably end up in the spam box;(
