I have a family of a four and I do about 8 loads a week.I think I do about 3 or 4 loads every 3 or 4 days.Sometimes it can be more.Like if I have to wash the kids bed blankets ,ect.I heard somewhere where it it was cheaper to wash and dry clothes at night.Dont know how true that is though.I usually do mine at night anyways as that is the only time I have to do household chores sometimes. Also some people say to spend your clothes another time to wring the water out as it cuts down on the dryer time and might make the electric bill cheaper. As it can get expensive for all this laundry.

I should try doing all of the laundry at night. If it cuts down on the electric bill I'm all for it.Thanks for replying.

I usually do 5 loads of laundry a day for our family of 4. I wish it were less but the boys tend to get so dirty that they have to change their clothes a few times a day. I'm hoping as they get older it will be less. Every once in awhile I will get a break and only have 1 load but I'm not exactly sure how that happens. Most of the time I find it hard to get it all put away.

When your boys get older. You'll notice how less they will change their clothes. And it will cut down on your laundry. It's hard for me to get my laundry put away too. Thanks for replying.

I sure hope so. We're still potty training for night time so I do a lot of sheet washes. I'll be so happy when that's done.

WOW that's a lot! For a family of three (myself, my husband, and 13-month-old daughter) I do 5-6 loads per week, including bedding. What kind of washer do you use, if you don't mind me asking?? I used to do about 10 loads per week but I bought a HE washer and dryer from work (I sell appliances for Sears) and that cut my laundry by more than half. Not to sound like I'm promoting the purchase of new appliances, LOL, but have you considered buying a new washer and dryer? You'd be shocked at what they can do now. They seem like very expensive machines, but you wouldn't believe how much money you save in a year by doing half as much laundry and using less than half as much water and electricity per load (and, of course, buy when they're on sale). They're really quite extrodinary. And with the holidays coming up...LOL! Or, better yet, buy more clothes so you can go longer between washings!! J/K, but I do want to know, do you wash that often because you HAVE to, or because you just can't stand letting it pile up? Are these 3 FULL loads per day?? I wait until I have enough dirty clothes to do 3 large loads before washing (not so long that we've run out of socks or underwear, but enough so that it's worth my while), which usually takes 3-4 days, then I try to knock it all out at once.

The only thing that I separate are the towels. That's great that she's very careful in doing the laundry. Thanks for replying.

Nowhere near that! Wow! That's a lot
of clothes. I do my fair share of laundry,
but it doesn't feel like a load a day.
I guess I'd say that I do one load of laundry
daily.
If you factor in blankets, then maybe more.
There's always something drying.
