Do you fight your sleep or go to bed as you feel sleepy?

I generally postpone going to bed until I absolutely have to... There just seems so much to do, so much to read, so much to learn that it's almost horribly lazy and wasteful to spend those hours in bed! Then when I go to bed I hate getting up in the morning cause I'm soo tired so it's a no-win situation here (grin)
Take care!

I do not fight for my sleep, I go to bed at a particular fixed time and I immediately fell asleep (say within next 5-10 minutes). My partner takes time to go to sleep and she kept telling me that you fell asleep immediately, last night.....I was not able to sleep for two hours......

Sorry, I mistook it.
I do not fight with sleep...in fact...I love to sleep, whenever possible.

It depends on what I'm doing. If I'm just lying on the couch watching TV, and I get sleepy, I allow myself to fall asleep right there. But if I'm trying to finish a movie I had rented, or if I have to stay up late on a night off since I am on nights and need to keep the same schedule, then I force myself to stay up.

The excitement of something will keep me from going to sleep even though Im really sleepy. If something is boring me I can easily go to sleep just about anywhere if Im that tired. Which isnt too often, I like getting my rest. LOL
myLot has had both effects on me in the past. It has kept me up when I really needed and should have been in bed, but its also helped me to get sleepy when Im having trouble.

Hi & Hello my friend, Balasri.
No I will never fight my sleep when I feel sleepy, because it will hurts me and my health. If I am so sleepy while working for my last minute tasks, it won't take long for my sleep. Normally I will be short-self-awake as my duty is still unaccomplished for that particular moment. I will take my sleep.
Happy Postings and Earnings.
HAPPY DAPPY.

No I could not fight against the asleep. Asleep makes me weaker and I rush to bed and surrender myself to hand me over to it. Asleep is powerful. None could stay against it. This is basic need to fresh our mind. This is requirement of good health. The worst punishment is to not allow some one to sleep. This is used as weapon against the culprits during investigation of some hidden cases. It is not true that we go to sleep only on the bed of roses. You can also feel sleepy on a footpath and also on the bed of prickles.

I don't really fight my sleep, but I will go to bed at what I feel is a reasonable time, as opposed to when I feel tired. This is simply because I've had insomnia on and off throughout my life, and I find that, simply by laying down, I increase my chances of sleeping, and it generally DOES help.

I think most everyone fights there sleep, i doubt anyone really goes to bed when they feel tired otherwise we would sleep all the time. Stress makes us tired, work makes us tired, if you smoke or drink that makes you tired. I personally am a nite owl so i stay up most all nite (that is when i work) and try to sleep during the day which is hard cause i have a son and family who always have something that needs to be done. I havent slept good for the last two weeks due to stress, and problems my mind runs a 100 miles and hour and i cannot rest. Im hoping to catch up even though i will never really catch up soon so i can get rid of the baggage under my eyes.

according to the situation, if the occasion fit with sleep, i will. if not, i will fight it. for example, on business, i wouldn't go sleep; at night, if i feel sleepy, i will glad to go to bed.
