I have ball python(Kratos), it was given to be by a friend. When I got it I was very happy. Then I talked to my mother, she said I needed "get rid of it",(she thinks she runs to homes), I refused. She told me that it would get very big, she was worried it would eat my daughter. I told her she had nothing to worry about, and that pythons full grown would be no bigger then 5 feet. As for my daughter she would never be around it alone. I am a responsible pet owner, and mother. Some people say that pythons are great for kids, and beginner snake owners, I would definitely say so myself. My mother has never owned a snake and never would, she fears them. If your interested in this kind of snake and haven't already got one, I would consider you buy a ball python. Before you do this it's best to make sure you are able to care for it properly. If your scared of holding it that would be a problem seeing how pythons should be held. Do you like pythons? I would love to hear why you are interested in this kind of snake. I myself love the patterns, my python has little owls down his body. It's just great! I would love to hear from other python owners, maybe you can teach me something new. I would even like to hear from those who don't like pythons, maybe i can change your mind, or not. I would still like to know why you wouldn't like them or why you'd fear them.

Hi angcam3212.
I think you better take your mother advice as you live in one family and should get all consent about it. Before that ball python may hurt anybody else as many people scare of snake.
You can be very comfortable before any incident happen but when it strikes for once, who is going to take responsible to any bad consequences that might happen. Just take it this way, what would you feel if your mother did something which you dislike? Will you be feeling comfortable with that situation?
Happy Earnings and Postings, angcam.
HAPPY DAPPY.
