is the wii the best of the new platforms?

hey hey. i was just wondering if anyone out there could chip in some advice on whether or not to buy a nintendo wii. it terms of price and novelty it seems like the best of the new platforms to experiment, with? i have a PS2 but don't have the money for the PS3 yet. how different are the two systems?

I'll be honest here; the Wii is like a PS2 for the next-gen console wars. It has nearly the same graphics as the PS2, has several ports from the PS2 (with more to come such as Bully and Okami) and the only thing really separating them is the fact that the Wii uses motion control, which can be VERY intuitive sometimes....and very lazy sometimes....depending on what kind of game you buy.
If you want to have great gameplay and dont mind the graphics not being "State of the Art" then by all means buy a Wii. I did ^_^.
