Is there something wrong with MSN and Yahoo messenger downloads?

I have tried installing MSN messenger and Yahoo messenger on two differnent freshly installed PC's. It gave me error message that file is corrupt or download has been denied or some thing like that.Then i had to install old versions of those messengers from cd and upgrade it through net.When i installed google talk it didnt gave me error message.Is there any problem with the yahoo and msn site?

That may because your computer's configuration, like firewall. Check that and try again.

Do you have a firewall? Are you on the computer at work? Sometimes those will deny installations for instant messangers. You may want to try Trillian if you use all those messengers. Look at http://www.trillian.cc Good Luck Pablo
