Global Warming

GLobal warming, or climate change, is a subject that shows no signs of cooling down. And why it is happening? How could we help to lessen the cause of these. You know, and we all know actually the signs why this pehnomenon is disturbing us. One is, the Arctic ice is now disappearing and animals that thrive in this area suffer the most because the foods they eat also disappear. The coral reefs, which is sensitive to heat also suffers because fishes die -off in response to stress, the temperature , particularly in tropical areas heat profusely. Now, as a concerned resident of this planet, what would be our contribution in order to lessen the cause of these problems? please react on this and share your ideas. Thanks

Have you heard of the KYOTO PROTOCOL -- is a protocol to the international Framework Convention on Climate Change with the objective of reducing Greenhouse gases that cause climate change. IN relation to global warming, at home we can choose to use lighting bulbs that could minimize the release of green house gases. Or adapt biogas to minimize the release of methane gases, instead use the energy as source of power at home. :)

Global warming is very alarming!As a science teacher, what i can contribute is to teach my students what are the causes of this worldwide concern. Greenhouse effect for example. I made my students realize, that much of man's activities contribute to global warming, so the best way is to avoid it. Like, don't burn plastic waste, use bicycle or walk, rather than using vehicles in going to near places and many other activities that will minimize the release of these bad gases in the atmosphere.

heres how i think of it. i know it is a major problem and it can lead to everyone/everything on the earth ben wiped out though it wont happen in my lifetime so though i know i need to act i dont try 100% if you et me

Thanks for your response. you need not to perform the action if you can't, actually. Because we can help in a lot of ways. Maybe by telling someone not to use leaded gas, or at least to reduce smoking or to tell someone to plant trees, it would do. Thanks so much. Cheers!
