Has anyone ever had an experience where you lost your child in a department store? My 2 1/2 year old son vanished while my husband and I were getting a cabinet down from a tall shelf. It had been raining that day and all their carts were completely soaked. So my husband just carried my son. We put him down for a sec and he was gone. I yelled for him several times and ran to the next isles and he was no where to be seen. So I went to the front and told them my son was missing and I couldnt find him, so the assocaites started searching for him every where. They called a Code Adam. I decide to go back to the spot where he disappeared. I heard what sounded like a rat and I called his name. Then he finally peaked his little head from behind this big cabinet box. Wewww I was realieved but I was a little mad cause he didnt answer me when I called. Later he said Mommy I had fun at home depot. Do you have a story like this one? I would like to hear it.

omg, my son ran away in walmart when he had just turned 3. i was going crazy, i was 7 months pregant and very emotional. i ran to the lady at the door and asked if she had seen my son and she laughed at me, that biatch, so i ran to the photographer girl cause i had taken pictures there before and i knew her and asked her what do to. she told me to find someone in a red vest and tell them. i found someone and they did that code adam. then everyone was looking for him, and he was playing games in the electronics dept. i had a breakdown and started bawling. i was so scared and actually embarrassed. another customer came up to me and said don't you just hate it when then do that! i was relieved, it just doesn't happen to me.

You should have reported the lady that laughed at you because that is not right. It nice to know that some people like to help others when in need. I understand the scary feeling. yeah I was embarrassed too. But God was definatley watching over us.

Yeah it sure does bring on questions when you cant find them. In the world today its not safe as it use to be. It can be very scary in the moments that you cant find them and you have lost control of where they are at. Its very scary.

Wow that's crazy. I know you must've been terified. I don't have any kids, but I did experience something like this. We were at Universal Studios as part of a family reunion, my little brother whou was maybe 3 dissapeared. He was gone for about an hour before we found him. A guy found him and us luckily because we had our Family Reunion shirts on.
