My favorite "holiday" is not really a holiday at all. It's my birthday. No matter what, I always try to enjoy myself on my birthday. Treat myself to something special at least that one day of the year that I can call mine.
So, what is your favorite holiday and why?

My favorite holiday is Christmas. I get to spend more time with my family at Christmas and it has always been a great time of year at our house. Some of the best memories I have as a child centre around Christmas and the special family times we've had during this holiday season. I think Christmas will always be my favorite holiday.

I can`t really pick a " best holiday " as all my holidays have been wonderful i have spent quality time with the ones i love.We have had many over the years and i just have enjoyed relaxing as a family not being in a rush to get anywhere just to lie about with out a worry is a great holiday in my books .Having just completed a course of cancer treatment i value the time i have with my family more than anything and seeing that my children are growing and with some leaving home there probably won`t be many more where we as one big family will share a holiday together especially as they chose their own paths in life .

Halloween, no contest. I love the costumes & spirituality that go along with it. It's the one day that people can present their True Selves and not have everyone laugh at them. I think it is a truly beautiful holiday.

Thanksgiving is fun if you have family. I lve to cook for Thanksgiving. Christmas has become too commercialized for me too.
Thanks for the response!!

My favorite holdiay is Christmas. Xmas is my favorite holiday because of all of the meals. I enjoy watching all of the Xmas specials, and Christmas themed movies and cartoons are probally my favorite. The season is cold outside and warm inside bringing you and your family closer.

You are right, but it seems to be too commercial these days. If we can bring back the real meaning of Christmas in our families and in our homes, it will be much better.
My favorite cartoons for Christmas are "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", "A Charlie Brown Christmas", "Rudolph", and "Frosty The Snowman". What are yours?
Thanks for the response.

My favourite holiday is plenty of sun and sea and relaxation. I love being beside the ocean, I love the sea and I love swimming. I like a holiday of relaxation and being able to do what I want that's why I prefer going alone. I went to Greece this year for 2 weeks on my own and loved it because I pleased myself and I could swim all day if I wanted to or read a book and soak up the beautiful sun.

That sounds like a great holiday. I love the sun as long as it's not too too hot. Thanks for responding.

I have three favorites. I cant say that one is better than the other two. I love Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Each of them hold a special place in my heart. These are the holidays that we all get together as a family. I love it when I am around family.

Halloween used to be one of my favorites as a kid, but as I got older, it didn't appeal to me as much.

Wow, I guess great minds actually do think alike! I just posted the exact same question in my Own post not more then ten minutes ago! Weird that you should ask this question too! Yet, it's actually kindof Cool Too! :) As I have already stated previously in my own post, Christmas is my favorite holiday! :) Now, what say YOU??? :D

Great minds DO think alike!! Smile!! I chose my birthday because it is my own special day and I refer to it as a holiday of sorts!! I love Christmas too, but it is just too hyped up with all the people out to make a buck. Whatever happened to simple toys and simple gifts? Everything now is just way over the top.
I wish more people really understood the true meaning of Christmas and it would be sooooo much better.
Thanks for responding. I will have to look for your post as well.
