Hi guys, I'm planning to revise/replace my blog with topics that will satisfy the interest of my readers.
Since I'm still a beginner (newbie)and I have started my blog 3 mos. ago but I am not satisfied with the results because my topics were so broad.
Since blogging about money has already occupied so much space in blogging world and in my case isn't worth the effort, since my earnings through cpc and affiliate is way to low due to the topics I have put in my blog.
I felt that blogging about some interest that is unique will give me somehow an edge over marketing my blog online like anyone else who like to monitized their blogs.
This interest will be about people's questions mostly posted here in mylot related to technology or internet as a whole.
I am asking for help from you guys in knowing what you think will be a good topic to start with by giving me hints through answering the questions I prepared below. You can either answer the questions in full or in part and that will be my guide in starting my new blog.
1. Why do you blog, what is your purpose?2. What topic are you discussing on your blog and who is your target audience?3. Do you write your own post or do you copy it from other sources (e.g. other blogs)
4. What blog platform are you using, is it free (Blogger, Wordpress.com, etc) or stand alone (you pay for the hosting and using other blog cms such as wordpress, typepad etc.)
5. How often do you post?6. Do you make money from your blog and how do you do it?7. If you are making money what are the programs that you can suggest that will help bloggers (like me) to also succeed in that field?8. What blog tools do you use in your blog (statistics, blog editors, plug-ins, news aggregator, etc)?9. What are you goals in blogging?Your answers to any of my questions will be a lot of help in starting my new blog, and additional tips will be highly appreciated.

I blog mainly for sharing knowledge, make a little income, and just for simple expression of ideas. Using blogger, I have customized it a bit, and for my other sites I have done the same with a bit of html editing. I have applied html to my mylot profile (Have a look). I think it's important to subscribe to other blogs about content optimisation and monetisation applications for blogs. I perhaps post about 1-2 times a week. I have described my blog content optimisation/enhancements and other online income avenues in my site Internet Online Cash (visit it in my profile), which also has links to prominent bloggers tips and tricks (dosh dosh, skelliewag, shoemoney, and problogger)...

I too am a newbie to blogging and like you I thought I should start another blog because I wasn't making any money, then I found a program that I think is pretty helpful. Before you do anything drastic you should check it out and see if it can help you boost the earnings of your current blog. It really is worth checking out. Good luck.

Hello kroeger579,
I am also a 'blogger' for a number of reasons: 1) To vent when there is no-one that wants to hear but many who read or listen. 2) To create some stimulating thread of discussion that could get a number of different people involved sharing their opinions so I learn, teach and grow. 3) To bring my business more to the public awareness that is interested in health & wellness from a transpersonal perspective and finally 4) to share some of me that people may not get the opportunity anywhere else but at my blog sites.
sharing the light,
Miss Erica Hidvegi, the Enlightenment Advisor, B.A. Psych/M.A. Transpersonal Studies- Cnslng/Author, Artist, Photographer, Entrepreneur & Freelance extraordinaire

I blog about what I want to blog about. Frankly, I dno't give a sh!t if it's not popular. I blog to vent, to express whatever it is I want to express. Whether it's an opinion on a book I read or if it's the adorable things that my son did that day. I use wordpress on my own domain and I try to post every day. I do make money on my blog, mostly via payperpost. But also: reviewme, blogitive, smorty and linkworth.

Hei, I also write blog , but not very often.
I donot think the blog is the place to discuss all things since we have community or other website like myLot.
And:
1) I blog for my important things for a memo, and record my feelings and thinkings when I feel fitable.
2) I discuss a lot of things I encounted, and mainly forcus on love, life, work, programming
3) I write my own
4) Yeah, I use csdn. that's free and it is the biggest programmer's website in China.
5) It depends, sometimes once a day, sometimes once a week.
6) No, never.
7) no
8) blog editor.
9) As a notebook to record every important thing in my life.
Thanks.

I'm not a blogger. Never tried starting a blog and I doubt that I ever will. In my opinion, blogging is like writing diaries. The only difference is that the former is public and the latter is private. Maybe I like to keep things to myself. But I like chatting with others and like to share my thoughts. I just don't see the necessity of me starting a blog.
