have you ever noted IMEI number of your mobile phone ie. the number you get when you put *#06# and that is called IMEI number if you know that number you can give complain to police and first call your customer care number and block your number so that your number will not be misused by the person who stolen your mobile and you can get duplicate of your sim card if you want. So do all these things first.

First, you have to inform your family about it, so that they will not worry if they can not reach your cell phone. Then you have to inform your friends. You can reach them through e-mail or by telling one friend to pass it around.
Lastly, if you can afford to buy another cell phone, then buy to keep in touch with the world again. :)

You need to inform the provider to avoid the charges, if somebody else will you the phone for his private conversations. If you have an insurance, just get another one for a small fee. If your contract has expired, you can laso get a new phone almost for nothing, if you sign for a new contract. If your conract still active for a long time, the company will charge you anyway, does not matter if you use your plan or not. Check with your provider, if you can buy any cell phone from eBay (or get an old one from friends) to connect to your account.
