I completely agree with abortion. It's the choice of the woman who is pregnant and NO ONE else.

A non-sentient organism has no rights.
How ignorant you are.

I think abortion is ok and it is the discretion of the people involved who have to make that decision. Of course, it would be sad if due to abortion people tend to get pregnant and then go for abortion. But, then I would rather have the child aborted at that stage rather than have him roam around the world without a parent to care. That would be worse of situation than abortion.
Of course, ethical side of the issue comes into focus from time to time, but my observation is that you cannot force ethics on anyone. It is better to allow the person to understand his/her own ethics. The real solution to the problem is to understand the situations under which people get pregnant without wanting to. If we can control those situations, then that too can be a solution.
Cheers!

I dont agree with women who use abortion as a means of birth control..in fact that sickens me to no end HOWEVER, that being said, I'm definately for abortion. There was a time in my life not so long ago that I unfortunately needed to have one and I think that if the option had NOT been there, the end result would have been a very bad one for many involved...
There are numerous situations in life that can happen when the OPTION to abort needs to be available ya know...

Yes.
Many argue that if you are a moral person you should not abort a child. However, how moral is it to further increase an already too large population and overall damaging the natural ecosystem? How moral is it to force people who are not ready for children and have the children end up in a bad situation, including foster homes?

Oh my God! How can someone use abortion as a birth control? What about the pain that comes with it?
Ok. abortion is accepted in incidences that are desperate.......hence abortion is a desperate measure. There are situations that it is really unavoidable not unless the mother wants to loose her life.
It is between the involved parties to decide if aborttion is good or bad.

well i tink in some cases abortion is ok.wy i am telling this is because i can see many children in my country are very poor.the are not able to get one meal a day.i guess one should bring child in this owrld only when has the capability of feeding it. i am not telling that by that tie all should og for abortion only.but definately the can use precatuionary methods. Many a times the couple themselves get separated, ten what is the future of that child. so i think one should first plan and then go for child.there are many girls who are pregnant at the tender age when they are in school, how can they become mom wen they themselves are kids.so in many cases i think there is no option left but to go for it.

If you are raped then yes I fell an abortion is ok. But if you decide to have one because you couldnt keep your legs closed and get pregnant thats wrong! Even if you know you cant care for the baby put it up for adoption. There are so many loving caring people in the world who want children and cant have them and would be willing to care for your child. Children arnt a throw away item. I just wish more people would take precautions to not have children rather than get pregnant and have an abortion. Which is bad for a womans body. It could cause severe damage and make it so you cant get pregnant ever again.

"so many loving caring people in the world who want children"
Why are the kids in social services/foster homes/orphanages not good enough? There are hundreds of thousands of children waiting on homes this very second. Why are they not good enough? Why can't those childless couples adopt them? Why infants? Why does it have to be day old race specific infants?

i do not agree with abortion. for a simple reason that in that decision of aborting a child, it involves another life, a life that is equal to you. i think we can not claim to have greater power than what we have. i would like to treat one life as equal as mine, and that it deserves to be respected and protected especially if it is still powerless and helpless. i don't buy the idea that we have the power to decide on our body. it is not always the case because in this case, one's body carries another life. it puts the carrier in a position to be more careful with his/her body because another life depends on it.

"a life that is equal to you."
Sorry, but a blob of cells with no brian waves is not equal to me.
A tadpole looking organism inside my uterus is not my equal.

I think it's every woman's right whether she agrees or not. She may not agree but due to health reasons, she may have to have one. She may agree with abortion, but doesn't want one because she's been longing for a pregnancy. The situation for EVERY woman is different and we as the general public have no right to deny a woman the right to do what she wants with her body. When we start denying women that right, then we need to start denying men the right to spread their seed. All men will need to have vasectomies which can be reversed when or if they are ready to procreate. The abortion stance all falls on the woman, and yet the man is equally responsible for the mistake or the blessing (depending on how you look at it) so why should he not be forced to give up part of HIS life if the woman is forced to give up part of hers by carrying a pregnancy she does not want.
Abortion is a choice. It's not murder or a sin. It's a choice each and every woman has to make if she finds herself in that situation regarding an unwanted pregnancy.

I believe it is a womans right to choose. Noone has the right to tell a woman what to do with her own body. Although, some people in these kind of posts take it to far.
