Anime!! Haven't anyone noticed that anime never goes out of style? I heard that dragon ball is getting popular in Europe and my gosh!! I watched those stuff more than 10 years ago. As for the food, those things I always see in ANIME!! Lol. Hey I like Judo!! As you can see in my post, I did Aikido- it's similar only that Aikido concentrates more on Philosophical writings and using your opponent's strength against himself.

HEy there! How are you? Have u heard of the new T.V shows that are popular? It's called Hana Kimi, a girl pretending to be a boy in an all boys school. And have u also watched hana yori dango 2? I'm watching some parts of it and it's really hilarious! Although I still think the part 1 is still the best.

And it's so hot, but then the air is cold, strange combination! lol. Yes, Geisha's dancing style is totally unique. It makes me think of memoirs of a geisha.

1. anime-definitely anime-i really really love japanese animation, they have pretty interesting characteristics when it comes to anime... 2. jpop artist... with so much addiction to anime i get use to love their songs, particularly yui (who sang the rolling days Opening theme of bleach). 3. samurai also, when i heared the word japan in my mind i say 'ask the japanese, they know the way of the samurai...' 4. cherry blossom, i usually associate japan with cherry blossom... 5. in architecture there (ooopss i forgot the term) but they tend to design a tiny space into sometime that will still be habitable. (well that is something technical only archi stude or archi related field could somehow relate) 6. their technology, for sure. it's very impressive.

ANIME Anime Anime, do u know your Anime...(sing to the tune of the continents) Hey there! I guess almost everyone in here agrees that anime is totally strongly linked to Japan! It's good to know that you also like bleach and naruto. Well yes, I learned japanese through animation and singing! But save for the bad words i also unfortunately learned from them lol. As for cherry blossoms, I heard on the news that lots of it were seen over the parks!! Aaaw it's not fair! I wanted to see them! Well believe me or not, I know one family who is also a direct descendant of Samurai. It's kinda creepy how they were able to trace their lineage for so long!! Their technology is also Subarashii ne~!! Hey i want to share some of my pics in here but i want to show you what i have from Japan/Japanese. lol~!

hmm, when I think of Japan, these are the things that came to my mind: 1. anime - it's the first that came to my mind. hehe, I think it's one of the reasons why I became so fascinated with their culture. :D 2. technology- hehe, their very high tech machines/equipment. 3. cherry blossoms - whenever I see it, though only in pictures and tv, I really love it. 4. peacefulness - I don't know but whenever I think of Japan, I always see it as very peaceful. Maybe because of their serene environment and their love on nature. 5. sushi, tempura and ramen - I don't like that much sushi and ramen, but tempura is one of my favorite dish. I am really fascinated with Japan, I am really intersted to know more esp. their language. I really wish I could go to Japan someday :D

Well I hear that Tokyo is safe but i'm just scared of the notorious Yakuza gangs! I know they're mean lol. And yes, the food! Which reminds me I just had japanese food for lunch! lol. Well from foreigners perspective I think you've stated most stuff people thought about Japan. Anyway recently I've been reading articles from www.gaijinsmash.net, a site built by an american living in Japan. There are some shocking foundings as well as some heartfelt ones. You might want to check it out, just to widen your perspective about Japan. Oh yeah, back to topic whenever I hear "Japan" I think of anime, Jpop, (the amazing) kancho, and Moeko (whenever can I meet a girl so purehearted like her -- read "Moeko's owl" on the site I mentioned above)

Hi, thanks for giving the comment. And yea, I will be checking out the site later and probably learn a lot about it. Just a few days ago, I met in the hospital a woman whose husband is Japanese. She told me also all about the Japanese culture and some misconceptions about the culture and place. So I guess, this site will also widen my horizon. Haha, Chalk it up for J-pop!

me and my japanese classmates - that's taken way back 2006, when i was an exchange student in Japan. ^_^
I have a lot of things running through my mind when I hear "Japan." First I think of my host family (i miss them so much!) they were my family when i stayed there as an exchange student. Then i think of japanese uniforms, hello kitty, cute japanese singers and actors, the very foreign kanji characters, train, bus, tatami mats, samurai, sumo wrestlers, sushi, sashimi, snow!, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Doraemon, friendly japanese, nice scenery, Sakura trees...
