I am the type of person who when they have to do something or go some place I like to be on time. But my Hubby is the type of person is the one who puts off things....
Like this morning he had to go to the Doctor in California....His flight left Las Vegas at 8:00 am, so that ment he would have to be at the airport an hour and half early...He got up at 4:45 am, instead of getting his shower and clothes on he waited to get in shower at 6 am.....The cab that came to pick him up was here at 6;22 am....He got to it at 6;30..Which drives me crazy....
This is the way he has always been but it drives me up the wall....Why are people this way are they lazy or think their time is more important than other peoples time........

Well.... I LIKE to be on time for certain things but no matter how hard i try i am always Late wether it be 5 minutes or a half hour! no matter what i do!!
my husband is the same way... usually i blame him for uys being late all the time or my mother because i have to tell them a half hour earlier for everything for them to be on time... for my wedding last year it was at 530pm.. i told my mother and my husband it was at 445 because i new that they would be late and sure enough they were!!! she arrived at like 515 and he arrived at 5!! we do that through all the functions we go to know.. my nieces 3rd birthday party was last week at 2pm.. my sister and i played as if it were at 1 and i kept telling my husband all morning -early afternoon ok we have to be there at 1... so things were right on track,., i dont know how but we still maganegfed to get there at 215!!! good thing we were only really 15 minutes late and not an hour and 15 mintues!! LOL

Great Idea.... and I do that all the time with the people that I know are habitually late... I usually tell them to meet me a minimum of half an hour before they are actually suppose to be there, and they end up being within 15 minutes or so on time for what ever the event is. It is interesting how many of you here say that your husbands are the ones who are late... and men say that women take too long to get ready!!

YEAH ME! I don't know exactly why I put things off but I do know that I do put them off. I think it's because I just figure I can put them off til later and it wouldn't make any difference if I did them now or later. But at times that is wrong. I usually plan my day at night right before going to sleep. I tell myself, first thing in the morning I will do laundry, then vacuum the living room, rearrange the closet, and then sit down and search for job openings. But somehow when I wake up I head straight to the computer and look for jobs well at least it was on the list, right? I mean a job helps pay for everything else. But it would be difficult to go to a job interview with no clean clothes so I probably should do those clothes. So I guess I'll try to work on this habit of putting things off.

OOooops, speaking of procrastinating... I had meant to come back her to follow this thread and put it off for so long that I almost forgot. I sometimes get scattered in the first month of the year, with so many new projects.

My husband is a procrastinator too and sometimes it irritates me to no end. I am a planner by nature. Sometimes there are things that he needs to take care of that I can't and he always waits until the last minute. I will remind him 25 times and he will still say, "Oh, I forgot." Ugh.

Hmmmm, procrastination... I also prefer to be at the airport ahead of time, I just dont like the stress of a last minute dash to get to a flight. If I am invited somewhere, I also feel I should arrive on time. I think that some people just dont have a sense of timing... these days especially when it comes to air travel its always best to be there much earlier in case of any security delays... it is so unfortunate that we have to go thru all of the extra precautions, rush to the airport, and then find that your flight has been delayed.

I am also the type of person who likes to procrastinate and put things off until the last minute. I know this habit is bad and irritating, but sometimes I just can't help it and I feel that it's just better to relax than to move my muscles. Besides, the thought of having to do some strenous activity really puts me off and my brain tells me that it's better to lie down than to get up and do some work. Maybe I'm just born like that, because I know some people who just can't sit still and they have to do something to keep them busy. I can get busy too sometimes but that's only if I have someone to please or I'm doing that chore as an obligation (such as I promised someone I'll do something for them or I need to meet the dealine for an assignment). But overall, the good thing is I'm just wasting my own time, because I'm still single.... =P

My husband is like this. He works third shift so he sleeps durin the day. He can get up at 7 or 8 Pm.Butu he still waits until 9 or 9:30 to take his shower and get ready. He has to leave between 10 and 10:15.He will wiat until the last minute get in the shower. Then when he gets out he looks at the clock and starts running around like an idiot getting his lunch which I always have ready he just has to put it in his small cooler. Then grabbing his stuff and hurrying out the door. When most of the time he was up at least an hour or so earlier then he had to be.It takes him at least 35 -40 minutes to get to work and he starts at 10:45.Sometimes when we have to be somewhere I'll actully tell him an half an hour earlier then when we need to be there so we are on time.

Hmm.. that person sounds familiar.. sounds like me! Ha! :P
But I only procrastinate when it is more or less okay.
For important things such as that which you have described, I am super "on the ball". Cheers! :D

HI nzinky! I am like you too. I like to be on time and do things as per schedule. I am always there before time to meet clients only to find that most of them are not as time conscious as me. But on weekends i get lazy. I would get up late, take bath late and eat late.

Hi,there! I've also got some friends who'd like to put things off.I'm the person who always tries to be a little bit earlier or at least on time. I always want to leave enough time for the things so that I feel much safer. Some of my friends also put things off but that's usually for some tiny things in life which don't matter too much. They can tell the importance and would try to control the situation, which I think is good:) Thanks for the discussion and have a nice day^_^

I put things off... for example, I do work at the last minute XD
I think I probably should be working now... I have lots of work to do at the moment but I really can't be bothered- I feel like some big pressure is stopping me.
I however would never take as long as him- I am always on time for appointments and NEVER late!

I think that it's just a women's instinct to be on time to everything verses a man. We want to be early so that we don't look like a fool and our husbands just prefer to get there with in the time frame and not make such a big reaction out of it. My husband always says as long as I get there, there's no problem. I'll just call if I am a little late. Me on the other hand, I don't see it like that. If you make an appointment, you better keep it and get there on time!
