I have three children and I'm pregnant with my fourth. Two of my children have December birthdays and I have a neice and two nephews with December birthdays as well.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can make some extra money this time of the year? I'm a stay at home mom, but with three kids under five and being pregnant I don't have a whole lot of time. I'm willing to work, but I can't afford a babysitter because part-time jobs only allow you so much income.
Any suggestions would be greatly apprectiated.

WOW! You really opened yourself up for all of the "get rich quick" and all you have to do is "sign up under my name" links!
I so understand what you are saying and where you are coming from. We have 1 November birthday, 1 December birthday and 2 December anniversaries, 3 January birthdays and 6 February birthdays. It is really overwhelming.
The best suggestion I have is to learn how to craft! I am going to PM you with the MyLot name of another member with your permission. If you would like me to do so, please go through all of her posts. She is a world of information on making and doing easy and fun things.
You are stressing really hard right now and though I understand, you really don't need to be quite as stressed as you are. As a parent, I know you want to give your children really big things and make their birthdays special....but; you say they are under 5. Ms. Ima, how many of your birthday presents can you remember from when you were under 5? Make them cakes. Get them one gift that is sort of special (if you can afford a $10.00 gift fine, if not make it a $5.99 gift), and then wrap up some stickers and Dollar Store items. Young children don't know dollar value - they only know brightly wrapped packages that they are allowed to rip open! Relax a little bit and take some of that stress off yourself.
Now, please.....Step Away From The Computer!
Go sit in your favorite comfy chair - (it may be the toilet), the one where you can have just a few minutes to yourself, and just breathe. ~Donna

Her name is on the way to your box now. I hope your mind is feeling better and you can relax a bit. As far as adult presents go - the gifts in a jar are really easy and pretty. The soup mixes are the most inexpensive (yes, cheap is another word for it, but inexpensive sounds so much better!) We all put so much value on how much we spend and then sit around comparing what we gave to what Aunt Sally gave and then feeling bad. I used to do crafts and had a kiosk at a local Antique Mall (tourist trap). The things that I made were mostly all of dried flowers, herbs, pods, seeds, and natural things. A friend of mine painted a most beautiful sign for my little corner of the world there with the name of my shoppe. It was "From The Heart". I loved what I did. That is until I had to go to the shoppe about every other weekend, replenish stock, have the owner give me pieces of paper with specific things I was to make, and deadlines to make them in. At that point it became a job; and a job is work; and that work was stressful and no longer From The Heart. It was then that I realized that I had to close up the store and only do things as I felt the urge to, and only do things for people that I wanted to do them for. When you do that, you are actually putting the love into the project. Your family knows who you are and they know what you are going through. That means that they also know your financial situation. And all of that translates into they know that the gift (or card with your handwritten sentiments) are truly from your heart. ~Donna
