I prefer rollerblading because it's what I learned how to do when I was younger. I tried rollerskating once and I was horrible at it, oddly enough I thought it would easier because there are 2 wheels in the front and 2 in the back!

It would seem that rollerskating should be easier since like you said they have wheels in the front and back for better balance. I like rollerblading better myself and feel it is better exercise.

What is the difference? Rollerblades have inline wheels and rollerskates are the old models with the 2+2 wheels?

That is correct and I enjoy rollerblading more than rollerskating though when I was younger I would go to the rollerskating rink a lot. Now it is just rollerblading for me. :-)

You should try rollerblading as it is fun. Make sure you wear pads first if you try it. You need good balance. I loved rollerskating when I was younger.

I don't do either very well. lol I like them both and I seem to have an easier time on roller skates, then I do actual roller blades. But I haven't had much pratice with either much.

It is probably easier to balance yourself on rollerskates. Rollerblading is like ice skating except for it has wheels instead of the blade. Both are fun though.

I have never been rollerblading, but when I was a teenager, roller skating was the thing to do - so, I LOVE roller skating - or at least I did when I was young enough to do it without breaking any bones!

I've never learned how to properly rollerblade, and I've never been rollerskating before. Even so, I pick rollerskating. I think it would be much easier to do because it has 4 even wheels so it doesn't require as much work to balance on it.

heh, i prefer Aggressive inline skating, a less known roller sport, like inline skates (you call them rollerblades, but thats like kleenex, just such a widely used brand name it seems natural to say), but it has smaller wheels, and a space in between giving you the ability to grind! though they're all fun, depending on your opinion...it's just my preference. :]
