When you buy Christmas or even Birthday gifts do you try to get something that person wants? Don't it always seem that they want expensive gifts? What is the most money you have ever spent for a gift?

On every birthday or Christmas occasion i make it a point to give gifts to my loved ones especially to my family. But the best and most expensive gift i have ever given was a branded wristwatch for my beloved father. I knew he'd been wanting to have a new watch so when he got it as a Christmas present it really made him very happy. I know it really cost a big chunk of my savings to buy that gift but seeing him very proud of his new wristwatch is all worth the money i've spent.

to give is to let the receiver feel that he is really important to you.. that you treasure him and want him to feel how grateful you are having him in your life..
I am not that rich person.. but one cent is very much appreciated by them. They know that i couldnt afford those expensive gifts for them. but they are very glad for my kindness, practicality and sincerity and being me whenever i give a gift.So far, i lend my father a 25 thousand pesos for his business..

First, it's not that he wanted the expensive gift, he had no idea I had ordered it, last Christmas I spent most of a paycheck on tickets to the Flyers hockey game, because I knew that he is a really big fan and would love to go to a game.

As much as possible, I do want to give that person what they want or will probably be used by them. Its understandable that most of the people would be asking for expensive gifts! Even I, is guilty of this. The most expensive gift that I had given is a necklace for my special someone for his birthday. I gave it w/o any hesitations and the surprised reaction I got is priceless..=)

The most expensive gift I've given was to my husband. I bought a package set of World Cup Soccer tickets for the both of us. I think it was like 8 games or something like that. I gave it to him as a graduation gift when he finished graduate school with an MBA. He worked hard and deserved it.

The gift of love, I paid for it with all my heart, gave it to my wife only to later have it returned for a full refund.

For my mother's birthday I bought her a painting by a fairly popular and well known artist. I paid a little over $900 for it. I got in in part because I was hoping it would go up in value. The artist is still alive and not very old so maybe I'll have to wait a long time. I like the painting anyway. She has it hanging up above the fireplace and it's nice to look at.
