Im so sorry to hear this. Just remember the good times you had with him and what he did for you. And remember he was serving our country and we are all proud of him!! Sit your husband down and tell him what happened. I will say a prayer for your family and his.

I'm so very sorry to hear that, hon. I feel like I really know you from here on myLot so when I say I share your pain I'm really being sincere. I have no idea what I'd say if I were you. Bless you and your husband and all our troops serving our country. May this war end SOON so no more friends have to be lost!

I am so very sorry to hear this. I can not imagine losing someone that I care about to war. They call them heros, but it just seems like such a senseless way to die. I couldn't give you advice on telling your husband, because there is no easy way to break that kind of news. But you know him best.

I'm so sorry for your family's loss of a good friend. My son is a Marine and recently got back from Iraq. He lost a very good friend there. I'm happy to stay that my son's platoon was able to meet their friend's family and spend some good, quality time with them this past weekend. As a mom, I'm sure this platoon of young Marines were a huge comfort to the parents. I hope your husband will be able to be there for his friend's family to lend support as well. May God bless all of our troops and keep them safe.

I am so sorry to hear about it. You know the soldiers there , in Iraq I feel are not just fighting for USA they are fighting for all what we stand for-the civilisation itself. The belief that we are human and not some barbarians who just kill and then seek reason for doing so. He was a hero not just of your country but of the world. Many of which do not realise what we are facing in these times. Some day world will bow to these brave men , I have no doubt about it.
