great voice

his is a bedroom voice, not suited for the blues

John Mayer is absolutely one of my favorite artists, he always produces quality music and isn't afraid to try new things. I think he has the same style as Dave Matthews in that what he produces is always original and meaningful(or at least it sounds that way). I've actually seen him in concert twice and its definitely worth it. He is amazing live. He does a lot of improvisation, covers, and really good lead-ins to songs. I saw him with Counting Crows the first time, and Maroon Five the second time, both experiences were awesome and I would recommend him in concert to anyone who likes him. He will definitely keep you entertained.

I've always thought same thing about his similarity to Dave Matthews. He's come to my area a couple of times now but havent seen him. If he comes back this summer I will definitely check it out. Hopefully he will still be with Ben Harper, amazing guitarist.

I haven't but I would have liked to have seen him back after his first 2 albums, before the whole band concept entered the picture. I'd have to guess that now he just plays for the chickadee teens rather than a musical concert.

i love John Mayer too, dont know who the hell Dave matthews is but i guess he is good too, lol :) i love his eyes, oh yeah and his voice.
