I think that's quite true.
Though even when you feel alive, you won't always feel that moment of heaven..I think heaven is like a state of mind. It'll come over you suddenly, often when you're with your hobby..or a career you love, or someone you love.
It could come over you on a holiday, or..just one summer night.
It's special.
It's NOT something you experience when you die, it's something we're lucky to have while we're here.
Precious moments.

That's a wonderful way of looking at life..
Since I don't believe in heaven in the Catholic sense of the word, I believe in exactly what you said. That heaven is the wonderful moments in life. It seems better to live life knowing that heaven is all around you instead of waiting in hopes that someday you might reach heaven.. or maybe not.

I would have to say that I agree with that statement wholeheartedly. It expresses my own feelings on the subject beautifully.
What are 'The Spill Canvas' and 'The Tide'?

I'm sorry if there was any confusion. The Spill Canvas is a band that sings the song "The Tide." The line that I referenced in my question is actually from "The Tide." It's a fantastic, meaningful song.

I love this saying. I know the catholic school that my son goes to would not be so open minded about this saying, lol. I think its great though

I absolutely agree with that statement. I do beleive in the afterlife, but as for Heaven and Hell, I'm not sure I can agree with the religious definitions of those. I've always said that Heaven or Hell is what we make of Earth. There are times I truely feel that I've touched Heaven. Those moments are what make our memories.
