I was thinking a music or tv blog. I am just wondering whether they will actually be read and whether they will be getting enough traffic. I was also thinking about a blog about technology from a young female adult's point of view. Most of the tech blogs are written in a more male perspective and I was thinking that it would be a good idea.

The best blogs are on something that you are passionate about and knowledgable about. Somethign that you can write well about often and feel inspired. If it is well written the moeny will come to you. Ask yourself what hobbies you love, talents you have, media you enjoy, or lifestyle that you live and could write on.
Check out ProBlogger.net for some great tips.

Just think of something you love talking to your friends and others and you could keep on writing even if you are not going to be paid. Think about any special features about yourself and think about anything that you are damn specialist in and think about what is your hobby is and go in that line and start a blog in that niche, you will succeed.

One thing you mustn't do is start a blog for the sake of starting one.you will get bored and discourages easily..to have a successful blog you must have discipline and post regularly id you want to build a following.Start on a subject that you feel good about and it will just flow. Writing is like qi, an energy that can't be forced but can be channeled..Hope this helps.

Its usually best to write something you know first hand about. A place you visited on vacation, something like that. As for blogs there's a bunch of free blog sites but good luck making a lot of money at it. It takes a lot of time and effort just to make a little money. I'd try to look at it as expressing yourself and as a bonus you might make some extra spending money.
You can look at one of my blogs for example:

But there isn't as much $ is it as some people would like you to think. You really have to be doing it for a long time and have tons of referrals.
