Hello Dear Friend!I will start with this discussion even I am sure that it will be delete! The Past century was very difficult for all humans round the World! Two big World Wars, Lot of smaller and two big horrible ideology!!Nazism and Communism!!I was in that happy community which was born and have to live with communists rules!I am strong,i can fight with all troubles in my life,We/my family and me/survive all with "wonderful"and "justly" communist society!Than came the 1990 and freedom for all from north with Baltic republics, East with the end of SSSR and with died of Yugoslavia! We had a war during 1990-1995 and we were happy because we had our Country at the and after 700 years of others countries domination such as Austria, Venice's, Turkey, Germans and Yugoslavia with communists ideology! The last one was the worst one!You all know the meaning of life in Communists countries!!You can have all except freedom! If you think different, if you believe in God you are the enemy of nation!I am sure that you all know all this about Communism but you don't know how strong, and how long that ideology can live in some people hearts!I wrote this because I am astonished when I see all old communist in my country and how they are strong!!They are full of hate for democracy! They hate all from democratic countries, they would be able to do the worst things to have that regime again! The whole free world have to do all to suspend all Neo Communists party in there struggle to establish The New Communist Order!I don't know which one is worst New Communist Order or Fundamental Muslims Order! Now,in this Days before Christmas we have to pray to our God and Jesus to give as a power and lot of love to stop all enemies of humans freedom!!I will appreciate your response!See you and warm Regards Silvana

Well congradulations on your new found freedom. It is of utmost importance that you as a nation not take for granted the freedoms you now have and always remain vigilant against the rise of opression again. As much as we would like to say ban all comunist patries, it would be against the grain of a free society to do so, freedom applies to all thought. If we dis-allow one then we must dia-allow all. as much as we may disagrea with anothers views or no matter how offensive we find them, to deny them their view is to deny our own and a contradiction to freedom.

I have never had the misfortune to live under a communist regime - I don't agree with any form of totalitarianism Mao and Stalin were the two biggest mass murderers in the history of the world, worse in terms of numbers than Hitler even! And both were Communist.

Never had the misfortune to live under a communist regime but under a constitutional monarchy for some time in kathmandu and though i haven't experienced communism in so deep, i have read on it in novels and school books...i have seen the movie of hitler and know about mao and stalin...the right to speech and the total right to freedom, well these are the basic rights and one should learn from the previous mistakes and so not let this repeat again...coz a communist nation is danger to the whole world if it gets powerful enough, otherwise in the age of nuclear weapons, fighting is not possible with both the countries having them...the war will end in destruction of both...will we allow a nuclear war? anyways, we can't allow any communism in world or even in friends of us...

Being here in mylot does give ones opnion some color. It has been as really hard years last millenium. There were lots of struggles in terms of political belief systems were all that created them. Now that we are in the a much more younger century a new kind of conflict is arising that is more religious that is mixed with politics. Before we could only identify two major forces but now it has blended to religion and politics that its hard to really identify with.

I'm glad you are speaking about this... too many people in the US think that these subjects are either small things, or never existed. We are becoming foolish, because we are spoiled. Every time you post, I can hear the joy in your 'voice', your happiness with all that surrounds you. Because you have seen how bad things can be, you appreciate what you have gained. I don't pray, but I hope with all my heart that your life will continue this path of freedom and joy... and that we in this country will learn to appreciate what our predecessors have helped to accomplish throughout the world.

I do not know where are you from. I live in China which is a communist country. The situation you said is true in my country but I see many changes these years. I think democracy is the best social system in human history. If we want to live happily and safely we should keep our government under democracy. And freedom is one of the basic human rights that no one can deprive from us. I hope my country can pay more attention to her people and make them happy.
