Do you start discussions or reply to other people's discussions?

I've noticed some of my friends have a really high number and when I get to their profile to respond to one of their discussions they only have like 3 so I assume they really like to reply to people's discussions rather than starting their own. I think I'm pretty equal. I like starting discussions but I like replying to other people's discussions also....it just depends on what I'm in the mood for that day. Do you have a preference? If so why?

Most of the members' ratio is tilted towards replying to more discussions than starting their own, because I feel it is easier to reply to a discussion than to start your own. Starting your own meaningful discussion requires thinking and some skills...and everytime...you cannot find interesting topic for your discussions. I like both to start my own discussion and to reply to others. Good Post!

Thanks. I think this is one of the best web sites of all time. I love hearing other peoples thoughts and feelings toward subjects. Have a great day.

I would much rather just respond to discussions, I dont post many discussions. I usually cant think of anything interesting ....lol and I dont want to start a useless discussion that has been discussed a million times before ...

I completely agree with you Calais. As a matter of fact, if you see my profile, you'll find much more responses than discussions I started, for obvious reasons! I'm not here for the money, that's just a nie extra, so if I don't have anything interest enough to start a discussion, I much rather shut up and wait till someone starts a nice inspiring discussion for me! LOL!!

I do more responding than creating, I only create a topic when I think I have something interesting to say but I get a bigger kick out of helping bring in some old posts friends have made in the past that may have been forgotten about...

I like the fact that you reply to old posts that your friends may have forgotten about. That's nice. I like to go and find ones that don't have very many post and reply to them. Have a great day.

I do both; I tend to reply because it's just easier, but if I have a burning question or want to mention something that isn't on here yet; I'll start a discussion.

I do both, but i really prefer to respond. I can put my two cents worth in, and occasionally I can actually help someone. And it depends on if I have something to say, too.

For me, whatever likes my fancy. :) If any topic interests me, I'll join in the discussion. Sometimes I prefer to just start a new discussion. Goes with the mood.

That's the way I am. Some days I have lots of stuff on my mind to discuss so I start lots of discussions. On other days I don't have much so I will just put my opinion on topics that interest me. Have a great day.

Well, I do a little of both, and overall, I have answered way many more Discussions than I have ever started here, but I still like to start a New discussion on here from time to time as well. Keeps things flowing to invite New people in here to respond to some of my discussions just so I can get to know them, and then go from there. Not everyone who is a Friend I have found will respond to all of your discussions, so that I why I choose to start a lot of discussions in a lot of different areas just to give people a chance to get to know me, and respond to different types of issues if they so choose. That is what makes myLot as a whole, more Fun to be in.

I tend to respond to other's discussion more than create my own. For me it is easier, because I don't have to think too much about ideas to post and it's easier for me to respond. I create my own when there are things that concern me and I want other peoples opinion and help, or sometimes out of curiosity.

I prefer to reply to others discussions as I find it easier to do this rather than start my own. Though I do have a good amount of discussions I've started. It's definitely more than 3! :P LOL So if you want to reply to some of mine, feel free to search through my profile. :) I just did my own search and it shows I have over 20 pages of discussions I've started. Not too bad, eh? LOL

If I have what I think is a good discussion starter, I start one and if someone has a discussion that I can reply to, I reply to it. So it isn't whether or not I am in the mood, it depends on whether or not have something to say..

That's kind of the way it is for me. Sometimes I don't have anything to ideas to start a discussion but some days I have lots of ideas. Thanks for the reply. Have a great day.

I usually reply on discussions with other members, much more if I am interested in the topics he started off. But I also start my own discussions if while my lotting some topics came into my mind. But often times when I started a discussion, I will later know that the same topic has been already given up for discussion. But I supposed I am more into replying to topics for discussions.

Hello dayzz. I do like reply to people's discussion because I don't have interesting idea to start a discussion. I afraid if I start one, nobody will respond on it. I will feel sad. So better I keep response to discussion. HAPPY LUCKY. **prettyhanan**

Ahhh...you shouldn't be afraid that no one would respond to a discussion if you started one. I try to respond to my friends disucssions, especially if I see that no one has responded to them. Have a good day.

I haven't been on here very long but I have started a few discussions but I have responded to more than i have started. I really don't have a preference. If I feel I have something worth discussing then I post it. Have a great day. So for though I can't ever think of anything to discuss lol.

I am pretty new to this, But I have started a few discussions and reponded to a few discussion. I am trying to work out which I like doing best.Starting your own discussion is hard because you need to have something you want answer and something interesting or no-one will repond.

It all depends upon my mood. Though it is quite a while since I have started a new discussion, and I have answered to more discussions than started, I look and check if the discussion that I want to start has already been started by someone else or not, and whether it has adequate number of responses/satisfactory responses or not. Besides now that I have added to my work that brings in the moolah, I find that I have very little time to respond to discussions, and no time at all to reply to the responses to the discussions initiated by me. so in my case it tilts a lot more towards responding to discussion than to initiating them.

I am more likely to respond to discussions that others have started ahead of starting my own. I sometimes have difficulty comiing up with ideas for discussions, so it's just easier to respond to others topics.

I usually start discussions, but lately i've been replying to other people's discussions. I feel like it's only fair - they respond to mine, I should respond to theirs.

I agree that it's only fair to respond to others also. I normally start discussions but lately I haven't had many conversation starters. Have a great day.

Hi,there! Well, generally speaking,I reply to the discussions more than starting discussions. I like to see what others write about and what's going on in our globe.I don't raise discussions too often cause I do it only when I really wanna share sth or have sth to share:) I think it's good to see more about others' discussions, then you can check more ideas and know more about the things happened in our life. Thanks for your discussion and best wishes for the day:)
