I experienced the NOD3 antivirus. This could be downloaded free from the site of NOD3 antivirus providers’ website. This good enough. It protects our computer from spy ware and such other virus wondering online. There are many other, but I would like to recommend the NOD 3 as it is affordable and good enough for home compute.

I downloaded free Avira and it's very compact(about 20mb), and it's doing his job.
I have heard about nod and avast too. They are both good too, I just choose Avira after reading all the information.
Here is a test results on antivirus programs.

I look at it and choosed Avira.
1. Because it seems doing it's job.
2. because it does not need to much recourses.
It found 52 infections on my old win98 system(I wasn't using antivirus for it)
Not that it was any problem, only one was causing me minor problems, and the others were trojans or warms, that my firewall was blocking anyway. So, no harm done, but still.. 52 is a big number.

oarnamav, you can try avast, just go to goggle search engine and type avast it will take you to their link. then you can download, it is free and active. good luck.

For free version antivirus, you can try Avira AntiVir Personal Classic Edition.
It's very effective in terms of scanning and detecting viruses.

I dunno wants the best anti-virus but i read it on pc mag and it says that avast was the top one, it is very anyway. try it.Goodluck!
