Do you think hair dye is dangerous to your health?

I won't ever use hair dye or rinse again.
It made my hair start to fall out, luckily it has recovered now. It took about 12 months for my hair to grow back, I had bald patches everywhere.
I am now natural.

As it is I am 57 and I have lots of black hair than grey, mainly because from college days I never applied any chemical oriented hair dye. All my younger brothers look older than me because they have more silver and grey hairs than me.
From the school days, I used to apply coconut oil and massage my hair for 10 minutes and take hot water bath including head bath. This has been done everyday and as a result, the roots received the required nutrients and gret turning was a slow process.
I personally fee that dyeing hair is really going to spoil the health of a person. (Eg, Merlyn Manroe)

Hello my dear ssh friend. Long time no see you. I am happy to see you around here in the same discussion.
I am glad to know that you well protect your hair by using coconut oil and massaging you hair all these years. I am sorry to say that I have been using chemical hair dye for my gray hair at the barber's shop. There is no other way to get it black again except using the chemical stuff. It is sad to say that. Anyway I am happy that you still enjoy your nice and black hair.
Have a nice day, my dear ssh.

I thought you were busy with school exams. Regarding hair dye, it is always better to look natural, even if the hair turns grey. When artificial colours applied, though at the outset one may look smart, but others can make out that it is dyed. If it is natural, the discussion on that person is less. IF it is artificial, the more gossip spreads around. Similar is the case with wigs.
I am also against use of chemicals on face particularly by females. I always tell them to look at their grannies. At the age of 90, there is so much grace in their face, because they did not use any chemical oriented facials.
I am 57, I had come across a man of 60 who is an accountant in a firm. I was really amazed to see jet black hair and he was telling me that he too applied coconut oil from childhood. Secondly, he said he never puts anything inside his head (worries). Thirdly he does exercises everyday. That was the secret of his healthy hair.

Hello free as bee. Yeah, I think that it is dangerous to our health if we use it too frequently. But what about the lots of gray hair that people have when they are still working? I have some gray hair and it is very annoying to have it, and I have to have it dyed to my natural black hair. I know that it is dangerous and no good to our health, but I have to as I am still young and have many many years to work before I get retired at sixty. Sometimes I dream about having black hair without getting it dyed when I get up in the morning. I wish to have some miracles to my hair. Thanks for your discussion, dear friend.
