There are a lot of differences in my opinion between a Doctor and a Surgeon. Both play important parts, but they all need to be understanding and be able to be there when a patient has Questions, etc. A Surgeon is there to help explain to someone when a major surgery is necessary and needs to be trained more in the field that they are operating in. They are held responsible more when a minor or major problem occurs, and there are different fields of surgeons. Some might just be there for small things, while we have the ones who specially trained in fields like Heart Specialists, etc.
