Best thing to do when you cant sleep?

Right now mylot is doing the trick .. got any other ideas for someone who cant sleep?

Maybe you could try bored.com. They have a lot of games you can play and some interesting stuff. Still I think Mylot is the way to go!

I turn the tv on and watch the most boring show or news and I put it on 30 mins SLEEP (automatic turnoff). Most of the time, I sleep before the tv is turned off. :)

Are you looking for things to do to fill in the time when you can't sleep or do you want help in getting to sleep? If you want help to get to sleep, don't spend more than 20 minutes laying in bed. Once you realize you can't sleep, get up, but leave the lights off. Sit quietly for a few minutes and then go back and try again. It often helps me and I have a LOT of trouble sleeping!

i have my computer in my room i keep chatting till im really tierd then try to sleep if im not off to sleep in ten miniets or so i go back to chatting after a while you have to get tierd

I have a really hard time falling asleep. I haven't found anything that helps me, sorry but at least you know you're not alone.

Lights down low, MyLot or my blog, reading and adding comments, helps me to tire if everyone else is in bed and the house is quiet. It helps if it's past midnight. Something about that time gives permission to all insomniacs to begin getting tired.

I try and remove all thoughts from my mind. If thatdoesn't help, then I try counting numbers or chant in my mind, with a count. baiscally you have to divert your mind from the thoughts that are keeping you awake. It has to be gradual, slow, and don't try too hard. It doesn't work then. All the best.

Take a warm bath and start reading book.. You will slowly get into sleep..

I have the same problem, I can't sleep at night. I feel as if I could fall asleep pretty much anytime during the day, but as soon as I lay down to go to bed I can't sleep.

my best idea is to turn on the tv,it helps some people to have activity in the backround to help them sleep just dont pay attention to the tv
