Hello zhangvicky,
It is nice of you to do this. I am interested to learn the language but in my country, it is very seldom for the Chinese to speak in Mandarin. I learned basic Mandarin for a semester when I was pursuing my degree but yet to speak in the language fluently. It was like a one way learning. I couldn't practice it as most of my colleagues don't speak Mandarin. They speak mostly Cantonese and some in Hokkien. By the way, I am also really bad at learning new language. I am working for Japanese and still can't speak in the language. My husband is a Russian and still the same thing happens...I don't even know a single word in Russian language!

You know how I envy you? *smile* you have so many chances to learn a new language...
Now I'm learning Japanese... In fact,we don't like Japan, it did something terrible to our country in the World War... But how to say, we are learning it to earn their money. *giggle*

Hello zhangvicky,
I understand what you mean by saying that they did something bad to your people during the world war. Oh, you are not supposed to envy me! I let go all the opportunities to learn new languages just like that! I didn't even do anything to solve my 'lazy attitude' problem *smiles* I hope you will get to learn and speak Japanese soon. I do believe you can speak the language faster than me. It has been almost 10 years and I am still at lost when they speak in Japanese!
