There was a person who is man of conviction and loyalty to his political party who has tattooed the emblem of the political party in his hand.I have never seen such a person standing without wavering in his principles.Hats off to him.Since I don't fit into that caliber I don't tattoo anything on me.

As long as you go to a reputable artist and make sure he shows you that he is using new, sterile tools and that he disposes of them after use, and that you follow the aftercare instructions fully, the risk is really minimal.
I've had a couple done and never had any problems with them. The worst part of them is trying not to scratch them while they're healing because it's so itchy!
I made sure I chose designs that were important to me and meaningful and that I'd thought about for a really long time. That way you'll have no regrets.

Tattoos are a form of art that have been around for ever. I have many tattoos and I have tattooed professionally for many years. If the tattoo became infected 9 times out of 10 it is because the after care was poor. Yes you need to check the sterilization of the shop and do your homework. You can also call the local health dept. to see if there has been any negative reports or failed inspections. Do your homework. As far as pain, there is none in my eyes. Irritation yes but pain no. I have tattoos in very sensitive places and there was no pain per say. Of course it is how you take pain also. People get tattooed for many reasons, I do it because it is who I am and a way for me to express myself and remember periods in my life. Best of luck and have fun.

First of all, if you actually follow the after care instructions (which are VERY easy to follow), you're not going to get an infection. As for the pain, it's different for everyone. Some people have higher threshold for pain. It also depends on where you get it. Some parts of the body hurt more than others. I have two, and I have to say that they were well worth the pain. My tattoos are very meaningful to me, they have special significance. That's why I have them. I do have several others planned, but they're all tied to something significant and meaningful to me.

i only have one tattoo. it is on my inner left ankle. I just got up one morning and was like i want a tattoo. So i picked a place in the town i was in that looked the cleanest. I went in there and they took me right back. laughs they had just opened so it was not busy. I had a little moon put on and the guy who did my tattoo wore gloves and did not place the needle in the ink bottle he used a little cup. i watched him throw the rest of the ink in the trash from the little cups that he used. The place was great. the pain was not even bad. The only thing i did not enjoy was that he added pink into my tattoo and i do not like the color pink. but it looks good now.

I have 8 tattos. The amount of pain really depends on the placement. The only tattoos I had that were REALLY painful were on the top of my foot and on my wrist. They are just sensitive spots with little fat/muscle. The tattoo I have on my collarbone hurt, but not as much. The rest of my ink (back, shoulder, arms, leg) didn't bother me. As far as infection, I don't know anyone who has ever had a tattoo get infected, and I just about everyone I know has at least 5 tattoos. Most of my friends have their entire arms and legs covered in ink. It's really not a risk, unless you are going to a shady shop that doesn't adhere to health codes. Same could be said about getting your nails done.

I am about to get a tatto, so don't be scary!! I didn't know about infection and stuff except to make sure you have clean needles and they reclean them again infront of you here in Australia.
I am really excited about getting my tattoo i'll post a pic when it is all finished and looking cool.

Well I have three tattoos and yes they hurt but I don't regret getting them because each one has a special meaning. One thing I advise is to never ever get a boyfriend or girlfriends name tattooed on your body because if you break up you will regret it. Make sure that the artwork you decide on is something that you will never regret. You are going to have that tattoo or tattoos for the rest of your life. If they are graphic then get them on someplace that can easily be hid especially if you work in the professional world. Pick out a tattoo parlor that is clean and do research on that place. Ask to see their certification and check out how they sanitize things. Good luck with your tattoo!

I have four tattoos and can only say that the *pain* was more like a cat scratch and, so long as you keep the skin clean, there was no infection. I love my tattoos, each one is a design of my own artwork and unique.

i haven't had any tattoo. its kinda scary and it looks dirty on the skin. but there's a kind of tattoo that i would be interested to have. its henna tattoo. its not permanent like the usual tattoo. i think it only lasts for as long as six months. and a lot of my friends said it doesn't hurt and you won't get any infection from it. i have wanted one back in college but i just didn't had the guts to do so. ^__^;; i envied my classmates who has them. i just wish someone had accompany me and got a tattoo too. ^__^
