I am building home theater and I was thinking about proper furniture’s. I don’t like to sit in any chair; I like to lie down when watching or at least to have my legs up. I am having problem finding proper furniture’s for my room. My home theater is going to be in my basement. Would you paint walls dark, or light? My floor is medium dark. Any ideas?

Dark colors for sure and how about getting some of those oversized recliners...all nicely padded so you can sit or lie down or curl up...what ever you want to at the time.

A home theater has to be dark. The Walls, the floor, the ceiling. The furniture and your theater equipment it should all be dark. in my opinion. Red or Black would be ideal (dark red of course) and Brown would be next to ideal. Having a couch would work wouldn't it? or a chaize (sp?) chair. I lay down and sit up when I watch movies all depending. But comfort is key.

yes, my b-friend wanted light color, but I said that it will not work. I wanted something dark, so I guess I was right... I may use my couch and one chair for now....I am going to paint all walls on Friday....
