I was wondering if somone one could tell me if you purchase a domain name for a whole year is that just for one domain and then you have to buy domains seperate(Like for example if you needed 3 domain names if the price for domain names was 7.99 a year then if you would have to pay 7.99 for each domain name or if you would pay the one price and have unlimited domain names)? Its kind of confusing for me as I am new and I am thinking on purchasing a domain for my blog.I also am going to get hosting and I know that it says ulimited domain hosting for the package I am going to get but I dont know if they give you unlimited domain names for one price?Doese anyone know of a good site that lets you pay on price for a year for as many domains as you want without paying extra for more domain names. Thanks

Ih you buy a hosting plan with "unlimeted domain names", it means you can host as many domains as you want. However you must buy ech name. Many hosting companies offer free domain names whith a purchase of a hostin plan. I am hosted and my plan gives me 2 free domains and unlimited domains and subdomains for $6.95 per month. This means I can have as many domains as i want, but get two free with the pakage. the difference between domains and sub domains is this. lets say my main website is www.warrantyourhome.com a subdomain would be www.dish-network.warrantyourhome.com My plan has a 500 gigabyte webspace with site builder and all the scipt suport and mysql, php and 5000 emailboxes and auto responders, and $60.00 worth of free markeying and site submission. so to answer your question, domaine names are seperate from your hosting account, unless they say they offer you free domain names. PM me for any more questions you might have.

hi carrie, my husband is into web developement and he does buy lot of domain for his clients. So as per him you got to pay per domain & also for the hosting space. But there is also a way where you have sub-domains under primary domain.
For eg: http://ashwamegha.com (primary domain)
http://XYZ.ashwamegha.com (sub-domain)
http://ABC.ashwamegha.com (sub-domain)
The only thing is that all the subdomains will be under same IP. Hope this information will help you. :-)

Hi carrie,
as to what i understand, your planning to have your website hosted by a company. That company may be offering a package where they'll be hosting all your domain names. But before they host it, you still need to buy each domain names. Multiple domain names on a single hosting as to what i understand. So, if you'll planning to have 3 domain names, you'll need to buy those 3 and then buy a single package for hosting where all the 3 domain can be hosted.
