Do you remember Britney back when she first started out? She was so very popular and all the preteen girls wanted to be just like her. I can't imagine that any of them feel the same way now. Poor Britney is a real mess.
She's certainly not a very good role model anymore. Personally, I never thought she was too good of a role model in the first place. I can't imagine that I'd ever approve of my daughter emulating such a person, even in her better days. Way before she was mixed up with the law and having custody troubles, she dressed very wildly. Not something that I would want for my daughter.
So, what do you think? Was Britney Spears EVER a good role model for impressioble teen/pre-teen girls?

Lol I love the fact that you called her a hag. Lol That just made my day. But seriously does she not want her kids back or what? She's so nasty. When she started out she was a hoe but now she's just a third rate bimbo.

Personally I don't think that Britney Spears was ever a role model for girls. Her first song was "Hit me baby one more time" what in the world would be role modelish about that? I don't know, I liked Britney Spears as a Pop Singer and that's all she ever had going for her, in my opinion.
Anyone who really believed she was dating Justin Timberlake and was a Virgin, seriously... was there anyone? How in the world is a liar a good role model. I don't know.
So I never thought of her as a role model then of course she isn't now.

I'm sure all that was just hype and PR, because she was once associated with Disney and probably still under contract to them at the time. They don't like for their stars to have tarnished images. I think she seemed so nice for so long, because she kept her mouth shut. Once she began to speak publicly, she looked real stupid.

Oh it was totally PR but she wasn't under Disney at that point anymore and she could have been real. I think being real is better than being PR real.
I just really don't ever see her being a good role model. Like I said, I like her as a pop singer and that's all she has. It makes you wonder though, when she started speaking publicly like you said... was that who she really was all along?

No, I don't think Brittany is a good role model for any kid...ever. She acts like a spoiled little brat when she should be focusing on being a good role model for her own children. (Yes...I know her children are young, but videos, tabloid news, and etc, are there forever, esp on the internet.) Whatever happened to the young stars realizing that they are role models for the younger set?! If my girls were still young, they would probably hear me voice my disapproval...but knowing my girls, they wouldn't have watched her anyways and would've formed their own negative opinions. I feel sorry for her, but she is making her own problems with her bad attitude and all. Role model?? lol, only for the 'spoiled rich kid' set, and 'future jailbird' mentality. She puts new meaning to the 'me generation.'

I am so worried about her little kids. They can see how irresponsible their mom is acting. Especially if she acts the same way when she is around them. I'm not saying that she doesn't love her kids, but maybe having kids was not the wisest choice for her. She's a kid herself. And, she's been in the spotlight forever. Maybe she thought it would be easier balancing career and motherhood. It's never easy for any of us. But 99% of moms make it work. Why can't she just grow up?

As women, young and old we all go threw things, some worse than others and somtimes we dont know the situation,i think she is at her breaking point,and it always gets worse before better. Trust me i been there! best answer for her is prayer.
