how do you train your rap skill?? by rappin every single day ?? or fasten your talking speed?

I have a friend named preston who is an amazing rapper and what he does to practice to get to where he is today is basically rap non stop and speed up his rapping. every time I hang out with him its hard to finish your sentence around him because he always jumps in rapping,lol but he is an amazing rapper and is very fast, I think it just takes practice.
