substitute to toilet paper

what would i use as a substitute for toilet paper? eek. luckily i've never been in that situation - yet anyway, haha. i never use public restrooms and i always have some handy at my home..but i think, if it were available, tissue. couldn't use too much though because it would obviously clog the toilet. but it's usually also kept in a bathroom and could be used.

My first substitute would be kleenex. If no kleenex in the house, I'd use a papertowel and finally would look for an old, clean rag that could be thrown out after use. It's an interesting question. Thanks for posting. Am anxious to hear some of the other responses.
