Do you like Lorelai? Why?

I like her a lot. I had a pretty difficult life myself although I don't have a child and even though I know she is just fictional character sometimes I think that is she could do it I can do it too. Sometimes I hate the fact they made her too perfect in the show, all her jokes are funny, where ever she goes she always meet a guy who falls in love with her or wants to go out with her. I like her clothes, she wears such great shirts, shirts trousers and of course the best of all are here coats. like her sense of humor and the relationship she has with her daughter. We are mostly used to mothers who are overprotective or annoying and who wouldn't love to have her for a mother???

She has the kind of relationship with Rory that I want to have with my girls... I pretty much do, they come to me with most of their problems, so I hope that continues, but when I watch this show, I always envy their relationship. My girls are now 13 and 17, and we are very close but you always know there are things they only share with their friends, not their moms...

I love Lorelai, I wish she was my mother. I agree though that sometimes she is annoying, I hate how she fights with her parents over every dumb thing, sometimes its a little too much. But she is so funny and so cute, and her and Rory have such a great relationship. I do realize its a tv show but it would be awesome to have that bond with your mother, and not to mention have the gene that would make you as pretty as her or Rory (and the clothes too).

I LOVE her and hope that as my daughter grows up that we will be as close as they were.

Lorelai was a brilliant character. I wouldn't say that she was too perfect, however. She had a child at 16, didn't marry the father, was the cause of Luke's divorce, married and divorced Christopher, was emotionally unfaithful while married to Christopher, broke Max's heart, had a rocky relationship with her parents (especially her mother), etc.
However, despite all of these things (or, perhaps, because of them), she is a likeable character who possessed spunk and determination.
