I think Prince was good up to and including his Sign of the Times days. I think his 1999 & Purple Rain albums were his best era. Now he barely gets any airtime, and a lot of his albums come and go unnoticed. As a fan I still ran out and collected all of his albums for years, but I found I enjoy his music less than I did during the earlier releases.

When you get older your music somewhat stays the same, and that's not what the younger generation wants. Prince music sounds different now too, i guess his religion (Jehovah Witness) has him a lot more toned down.

I have followed his whole career as well. Prince is an artist and a genius in what he does. A good artist is organic. His music shows that he grows as an artist and doen't get stuck. Every album he does is a new creation. He is one of the only atist I know that you can take any album he has done and each song has it's own feel. One rock, one r&b,one inpirational. He creates each song as a diffent entity. I appreciate the artist at work. He is a modern day Mozart.

I think Prince was much cooler back in the early days of his career. He has became stranger all the time. purple Rain is one of my favorite movies.
