Kind of curious here. I like to think I'm an open-minded person and love to learn anything new. I'll read and study just about anything. Though I no longer am a member, though wouldn't mind rejoining, around 1980 I became involved with one of the more esoteric schools of thought...The Order of the Rose Cross, or commonly known as the Rosicrucians. It's a fraternal order that is involved with the metaphysical explanation of many things and dates back centuries. It's almost an irony, that anyone who has recently gotten caught up with the whole The Secret and Law Of Attraction principles that have been popularized by the book and DVD of The Secret, that many of the LOA principles were "hidden" principles by the Rosicrucians. There are numerous "degrees" ones studies, the beginner is a Neophyte then advances into the degrees ...I managed to get beyond the Eleventh Degree but then stopped. I even studied the Mayan Order and Astera which are also metaphysical fraternal orders. Did you know that such past famous people like Francis Bacon and Benjamin Franklin were Rosicrucians?
So just curious...have any of you studied under these metaphysical orders? Did you gain anything by them, and if you haven't, and at least have heard of them, were you ever curious to read up or join any of these organizations?

Well, I'm aware of that but I can't say that I am a full enrollee of that. I really got curious in the mystery of life that's why I was hooked in the knowledge of the esoterics. It's really interesting to study your purpose in life and your ways to unleash the potentials of your brain. If only I can afford, then why not?

I unfortunately did have to stop my studies years ago, as it was kind of expensive...now I just read up on it..lots of times on different websites, so it's kind of free then

I have heard of these secret societies, of course, pyewacket, but my curiosity has never spurred me to delve any further into them. Besides, they usually want money(which I don't have). I can recommend a site that might interest you since it does deal with some metaphysical issues. It is www.drturi.com.

I've bookmarked that site..just looking at the introductory page looked great. Yes, that's one of the reasons I stopped studying with the Rosicrucians as I couldn't afford it anymore--same with the others
