What's Going to Blow Into Wisteria Lane?

They say this episode of Desperate Housewives is going to be the biggest one of the year, the one no one can miss; the previews certainly look ominous. Lynette's piercing scream was enough to scare anyone to death. Any ideas here, is someone important going to die? I sure didn't see it coming when Rex died, then I didn't know what to think when it appeared Edie had hung herself. Let's discuss it and see if any of us make any accurate predictions. Annie

I think that Susan will either lose her baby, or threaten to, following a fall down the stairs that I saw in the preview clip. If she actually loses the baby then that could be the beginning of the end for her and Mike because although she threatened to leave him with the baby, I don't believe she would actually do it. If she almost loses the baby then maybe Mike will be scared straight? Or maybe not. I'm actually a little bored with his pills storyline and hoping it will get more interesting. I agree with the writer who said that it's time for Orson to be revealed as the driver who hit him. I never did really understand why that happened anyway. There was an exchange about prison dental work, and so I guess Orson went after Mike to muffle whatever might have been revealed there. By the way, I know I'm not alone in getting a huge kick out of the stream of events with Mike covering for the gynecologist, who refused to write him a prescription but then got Orson to do it by referring to delivering Bree/Danielle's baby. Then when Orson gave him the prescription and found out that the pain resulted from the car wreck... it was classic to me! I think that Tom is going to try to go out into the storm for something but not actually be killed or hurt too badly. Lynette's scream, which is quite powerful, could actually be her freaking out in advance of anything happening. I am very excited about this episode and can't wait to see what happens!

Haha, have to laugh with you about the blackmail too. That was a very funny episode when you think of those parts. Also want to agree about Tom. I hope nothing happens to him because he is so sweet and has been a good husband.

That was classic, wasn't it, passing the "blackmail" down the line? I sure hope Susan doesn't lose the baby. and they better not kill Tom off, I relly like him and it seems there should be one at least somewhat stable marriage on the show! Annie

that was really In my opinion one of the best DH episodes so far. Does anybody know when the next show will air? I've heard rumors that they won't be showing any anytime soon cause of the Writer's strike. I hope that is not true.

I just looked at a spoiler site. January 6 is the next one, but that was before the strike happened. It may or may not air that date. It's being preemted by Santa and Christmas shows.

Oooh with only a few hours to go before this episode comes on I am anxious! :) Well, I have been discussing this very thing with my Mom. I said maybe something will happen to Mike or Lynette's hubby. I just hope that whatever happens, I wont cry to much LOL!

Me too! I've got to go pop some popcorn and gather up the tissues! Desperate Housewives then Brothers & Sisters, with the wedding tonight IF it happens. That one will surely be a three hankie show no matter which way it goes. Annie

I just watched that episode last night. It seems that we're two weeks behind here in the Philippines. To date, that was the most awesome DH episode I've ever watched. I was literally hanging on to my seat because there were lots of suspenseful scenes! I was a bit shaken with the ending because I can just imagine how a mother would feel if it looks as if her whole family has been wiped out. I wouldn't want to experience anything like that with my husband and four sons.

I'm not a fan of this past episode. Lynette and the cat was what did it for me. Yeah, it's just a cat, but Lynette has kids and she'll NEVER understand how Mrs. McKlusky's friend felt. It's not just a cat and I'm sorry, but my cats trump any and all human beings that are guests in my home. That cat was her child and Lynette killed it. Mrs. McKlusky let Lynette and her family come over as a favor, but Mrs M's friend was invited over. Lynette had no right to try to get rid of the cat. Too bad the writers' strike is going to hold us out on seeing what's next. The scream Lynette gave was ominous. And what about Carlos? Hit in the head by something and knocked out? Then the mayor being killed by a fence picket? Did anyone else see those pickets flying off and think that he was going to get killed by the picket? I have a hard time believing that a picket that size could stab and kill someone, but the force of a tornado is not something to mess around with. Now we've got to wait out an eternity to find out if Carlos made it. We all know the mayor bought a farm, but I hope Carlos didn't die. Too bad Catherine's husband's stalker got sucked out of Bree and Orson's house. Kind of fitting. Now he won't have to worry about it. And a picky thing for me: Bree has keys to everyone's house on Wisteria Lane. Did the writers actually try to think that Bree doesn't have a skeleton key to her own bathroom? Come on!

You are EXTREMELY observant! I have to agree about the cat. Also, I hadn't thought of it - and now I feel dumb! - but you're so right about the keys! Of course Bree would have a key to her own bathroom! I know what you're saying about the fence picket but I've seen that sort of thing before, but only on TV so who knows if it could happen...lol. I hope I never the the opportunity to find out! Annie

Ack. NO, it's not just a cat was what I meant to write. What was I thinking!

I agreed with Lynette, then again I am also allergic to cats. I didn't see the problem with putting the cat in its cage in an upstairs closet. It wasn't like she was putting the cat out on the front porch. I don't like animals. I guess this probably has something to do with it.

Wow, so now that the episode is over, what did you think? SPOILERS I was almost in tears by the end of the show. Granted I was having an emotional night anyway, but my heart went out to Lynette. She's dealt with so much this past year and then that on top of everything is crazy. Her kids are going to need lots of counseling when they get older. And, yes, I believe they have a life ahead of them. I can't see this show killing off an entire family that way and leaving Lynette by herself. Yay for the writer's strike. We're never going to know will happen.

I was also almost in tears...OK, I was in tears but that's just how I am. They didn't show any previews, did they? They didn't for Brothers & Sisters either so I'll bet they're out of new episodes now. Those who predicted Victor's demise hit it right on the head! I knew someone was going to get that fence part through him and I didn't really think it would be Carlos but then again, who ever really knows on these shows. Oh, well, we might just end up waiting until after the New Year or later to see what's going to happen next. Annie

I believe Victor is going to die. His storyline is done and think his time is up. I will be sorry to see him go, but Gabi is moving on without him. ABC has already said its a tornado that we will see and its going to cause deaths. I'm not sure who else is leaving, but I doubt its a housewife.

You may be right about this but sometimes if someone seems to obvious it just can't be. I don't think it will be a housewife to die, either. Annie

I can't wait for Sunday! I hope that no one in Lynette's family doesn't die. They have been through too much already. If a character is killed I don't think it will be a major one. If someone has to go. Take Edie and Victor. Thanks for starting a good discussion.

Thanks to YOU for responding! You know what, maybe Edie and Victor should get together, they do kind of deserve each other, don't they? Annie
