Senator Trillanes was famous during the Oakwood mutiny 4 years ago. This year,he was elected as senator of the country and now just this 12noon (Nov29,07), he again lead the rebellious soldiers to ask for ousting of Pres. GMA. What do you is his intention in doing this? To get the power and lead the country or he just wanted publicity? We all know that a senator is a lawmaker. So, why a senator asked for fall of government, which is a form of rebellion? Please express your feelings about this latest issu.

Trillanes was elected as Senator of the Phils. and he was sworn into office to uphold the law! But it seems he does not understand it, or any of his followers. For me, the means does not really justify the end. What they are doing are still against the law; there are still lots of legal ways to air their grievances, protests, etc. So instead of supporting their cause, people now are tired of these theatrical acts which only successfully pulled our economy down. If Trillanes et. al. want change, the change should start first with them. Pointing an accusing finger on the government will not work. He's a senator and he could have exhausted all legal means to forward his cause...but instead he chose to short cut the process. There is no short cut in a democracy...everything has to be done within the limits of the law, otherwise there will be lawlessness and that's the last thing we need for our country...

I agree with you. He (Trillanes) was elected senator. So, he knows the law much we knew it. And his acts were not according to law. If he wants change, he should be a role model. He should air his grievances on the proper forum. What he did was really a shame and another act of foolishness. I am happy i didn't vote for Him, though i admire him before. Maybe my heart told me whom to vote and my conviction told me, he doesn't deserve my vote.

Well, the guy is a coward who could hardly think straight and is most probably sick in the head. He must be really stupid to think that he can overthrow the present Philippine President. The only people who support him are those like him- stupid, and sick in the head. It is such a shame that he being a public official now, would resort to unconstitutional means of grabbing power. What a SHAME for those who voted for him. At least it was such a FUNNY sight watching him call for people to support him on his way to Peninsula hotel, and nobody taking him seriously. As usual, the coward surrendered after being given an ultimatum-very typical of cowards who cry, "MOMMY!" I think he'd be better off in a circus for the mentally retarded.

I think we have same impression about this senator. You are right, its a shame for those who voted for him. A man, soldier by profession who keeps on insisting a man should stand for his principle and be brave enough to defend the country. But what he did for the second time, was a truly cowardness. He will start to trigger the minds of Filipino people to support him of his battle against injustice and corruption in the government. But in the end, he will end up surrendering and explaining "I'm doing this to prevent bloody revolution", which he doesn't want public to be involved/affected. Yes, i will admire him most if he bravely pursue and fight for his battle. Rather than doing the same thing, which he ends up a laughing stock of the public.

Well, that proves it. I shall not take back my opinion about the people who voted him. They truly are uneducated idiotic retards, and that includes you. The end does not justify the means! There is injustice everywhere you go. Have you been to Germany, Russia, Japan, United States? If not, i suggest you plan a trip to other countries and you would see that corruption and social problems are present everywhere, but that does NOT justify a mutiny, or any unconstitutional act. Don't you even tell me that frustration with the present administration justifies his actions. You must be uneducated to reason out like that. So go get an elementary education at the least.

Mihopopcorn, I'm glad we have same opinion about Trillanes. But i think, if we present our ideas/opinions, we should only focus on the issues. I mean, junk the sarcasm and filthy words ... like pertaining to those who voted for Trillanes. Anyway, that's their choice. I think we can have active and lively discussions if we act as mature individuals. Don't take my comments negatively... im a friend...

Why did he do it? Because opposition forces have tried the legitimate, constitutional way - that is the impeachment process. What did Gloria M-Arroyo do? She paid off her puppies in congress to kill that process before evidence could even be presented. So the legitimate, constitutional way was not even given a chance. Who do you think is more believable - GMA or Teofisto Guingona? Guingona is old and no longer has political ambitions. In fact he was already vice president. He does not need publicity. As a former insider in the Arroyo administration, he knew of GMA's corrupt and illegal activities. That's the reason why he is siding with Sen. Trillanes. I don't think those bishops need publicity.

You are stating unproven accusations against the President. She paid off politicians? Where is the proof? We have due process to investigate that. And believe me, President Arroyo is more believable than Guingona. If you review your history, Guingona was one of the Senators to impeach Erap, and now he is on Erap's side. What does that say about his credibility and principles? Haha! Got you there! He left because he could hardly advance his political ambitions under President Arroyo, and now he is just too old and is simply sourgraping. As for the bishops and the priests who supported that retard, well some people do have a screwed up set of principles. They are simply people and not men of the cloth, with the actions they made and they should be prosecuted just like any law-breaking individual. Again, get an education my friend, it's good for the soul. Good day!

I firmly believe that all Trillanes actions were result of his personal ambition to become the President, even by force. He is a quint. He even boasts that he was voted, and needs to be respected. But what he did was really a act of uncivilized/rebellious man.
