Sometimes thank you's just are all you can do. In reality, the deed that was done is worth much more than a thank you.

I have no idea how much 10000 rmb is but it seems that someone did a big favour for the boy which he accepted and he was not grateful for it? How strange. The rich man did not HAVE to help him and it's sad that his help was not acknowledged. My dad has been disappointed in the past that he has gone out of his way to help friends and spent time and money on helping them with a problem and they've not been grateful. I've told him that if he expects thanks for helping people who are his friends he's doing it for the wrong reasons. If they are true friends they will automatically show gratitude but basically don't be hurt by people not showing their gratitude. If you really want to help people don't expect anything in return. At least that way, if you do eventually get a thanks from them, it's a pleasant surprise :)

i got several of my friends help in the past. I know words of thanks are just not enough for me to say to them but i do appreciate everything they did for me. i have to admit that i dont even know how to say it but i feel so grateful for the help i received, i never forget them. i always say hello to them and let them know that i still appreciate the help they gave me years back to this day.
I guess that is just how we should be, we should never forget the people who have helped us in our journey through life.

It seems that I have heard the story.I think the boy is not worthy being helped, and the boy cann't be call a man when he grows up.Because he has no responsibility and no his own idea.Certainly, maybe you can forgive your good friends or relatives when they reject to pay back.

When I get someone's help, of course I will say think you to he/she. But in the other side. Do someone real want a "think you" why he/she help you? I don't so, I help others because they need help, and I hope that when I need help, there would be someone give me his/her hand.

i have a question? what happen to the boy does he finish his study? i need to know first the whole story and side of the boy.. for not being bias or something.
if he finish his study and graduate with that help, well that is good as thank you to the person who are are willingly help him graduate. there is nothing more to say as long as the boy prove to the person that help him that what he receive make use of the money wisely. even their if their will be no communication as long as its just a good news, there's nothing more. and i know that good samaritan already understand.
there are also many ways to say give gratitude to those who help you, and one is to make them proud.
however, if the boy just waste the money, that you can call him unworthy of any help. even he keeps saying sorry about what he had done.
