None of my friends believe that I fell in love at first sight. Has anyone else had this happen?

Love at first sight is a real thing. Yes, indeed. It happened to me when I was 17 and within 6 months I was engaged and had poured every bit of my heart and soul into that person. I saw her once, we made eye contact and all I wanted in life was to have her and hold her and be her strength, her protection, her stability in life. I could see the children we would have together and the life we would live.
After only eight months she left me for another, willfully and purposefully removing herself from my life without so much as a goodbye and it devastated me. That was a lifetime ago now. I'm married with a family and things are very stable and happy. I would not give up the life I have now for anything but I still, to this very day, love that woman and wonder where she is and what she's doing and if she's happy with her life. All this time later and I still want to be her shelter and protector even though that's an impossibility and I know that even if I was given the opportunity, even if she begged, I would not return to her.
Nope, you'll never convince me that love at first sight is anything less than hopelessly, painfully real.

sorry your love at first sight didn't end so well. Sounds like it was her loss!

I believe it, In fact, it always happens to me. While my friends say two person fall in love at the first sight, the gilr must be very beautiful while the boy should be very handsome...*Smile* but who knows??
But actually, many people who love at first sight will end in bad result. So wish you two happy!!

I sooooo believe in love at first sight. The problem with outher people who dont belive it is that they are looking for magical sparks and fireworks to go off outside. But people like me and other who belive in it know that the fireworks and sparks all go off inside ofyou. Everytime you see or think of that person you are enamored and cannot stop thinking about him/her. That person is for some reason just the dream person you have always dreamed of even if the yare technially not what you are attracted to. I have fallen in love twice like that and they both ended horribly because it am the type of person who doesnt like to rush into things and usually gave it up. But, I still think about them today and all the fun we had. Love like that are amazing.
