Before going to sleep... i thought of this great and very unique discussion... but when i logged in to mylot... i realized that i forgot every detail and word of that particular discussion... i am still racking my brain but i still can't remember what it was all about...
I will not ask if this already happened to you but i can say that it is so annoying to be so forgetful... i have nobody to blame not even myself... but to make me feel better... i decided to just start a discussion about a forgotten discussion...i hope you bear with me...

If it makes you feel any better, we went to a fast food place down the street a ways after shopping tonight and were discussing an idea for a myLot discussion and I was going to write down a reminder, but though, "I'll never forget that one!" so I didn't write it down. Not only did I forget it, but if you hadn't started this one I wouldn't even have remembered that I forgot it. Hah! You are not alone.

I'm a reporter and sometimes while interviewing people I think of this great question. The other person is talking and I am either typing (while talking to them on the phone) or writing down their quotes. Many times it has happened to me that I have forgotten the next question. I feel so dumb when I do this.

I'm usually pretty honest about it. When I pause for a moment, I tell them I had a question but my mind went blank on it. They all usually have a story about it, so I don't ever get embarassed. I just feel stupid when it does happen.
When I get a chance to record the interview, I usually write down questions as I think about them. So, when it's right there on the paper, I don't have a choice but to remember.
I actually do that with a lot of things. I write them down on a paper, just a few notes to remind myself of it. Perhaps you could carry around a tiny notepad. Not just for things on this site, but when something strikes, you can just write it down.
Then, you can either share it here or use it in another way.

LOL it happened to me before:) Actually a few times already.
SOmetimes I can't be on the computer any longer or I'm just too tired and I think to myself, I am really interested in that discussion.. but I'll check on it tomorrow.
When tomorrow comes...I can't remember which one it was, or what was it about... OLDzheimer's is setting in I guess LOL or we just have too many things in our mind.
Other times I have this great ideas to start discussions when I'm not on the computer and when I do get to the computer I can't remember them.
OH well... heheheheh it happens to all of us I guess:)

I guess forgetting discussions is like a trend here in mylot... what could be the cause of that... sometimes... i refuse to think that age is the reason... but we really do not know... then i sometimes think that maybe it is because we constantly see the same discussion over and over again... well... whatever it is i hope it won't plague all mylot members...

Hello!
That happened to me quite a lot of times too, it's like the more I think of something, the more I easily forget about it..hehehehe. It is annoying, I agree with you.
Don't rack your brain too much, it might fall off...lol!
Don't worry...you're not alone...I guess it's one of the signs of aging..wehehehe. Take care. *smile*
ciao! c",)

Don't think too hard on it.
The harder you try to remember it, the more it might elude you.
So just go easy and relax your brain. The discussion will come back to you in good time.=)

Hello aseretdd,
*Laughs* It happens all time. Maybe because of our age? What do you think? Like you, I always plan and imagine what kind of discussion I want to start later (when I have time to do so) but always forget about the whole discussion after a short while. The most terrible part is, the more you try to remember it, the more it will just go away from you!
