No it is not too early. You are mother and mother can do every thing for her beloved baby. Lullaby is an example of such song which mothers sing to make their babies sleep. The kid does not understand the meanings of the stanzas of lullaby, but they try to understand and enjoy the rhythm, their tiny brain becomes tire and they rush to the valley of dreams and sleep down. Kitty of two months is much sweaty to her mother. A mother should become mad in the love of her baby. She should tell every story to her doll. It is not too early. God may bless your home and wish you and your baby best of lucks melissas2501.

This is a great time to start reading to your child. even magazines with bright pictures and you can even make up stories about the pictures. At this age they enjoy the bright colores and hearing your voice. Childrens book should have simple and bright pictures as she gets older. This is the best thing youu can do for your child giving her a love of books. There are hard books and cloth books for her when she gets old enough to really handle them.

It's never been too early to read to your baby.My sister who's a journalist had read almost a hundred newspapers when she was pregnant with her 2nd child, now her child is very intelligent.Studies show that babies react to classical music, mental feeding and mother's activities. So, keep on reading to your baby.I have been reading baby's book, the basic ABC's, 123's and fairy tales to my 4 month old baby since one and a half month. Now, he doesn't only coo sounds he can say hello, Mama, da da etc.
So keep on feeding mentally your child, he will grow smart.Goodluck!

Absolutely not! READ READ READ!!! my grand daughter is 7 and is reading Moby D_ck and loves it! My 18 month old is "reading" Five Little Monkeys. She puts what I say with the picture on thepage and recites the words! You will never be sorry you taught them to read and you will always be thankful that you taught them to read when you see them succed because they are good readers. READ READ READ!

It is never too early. Read any books you like. If you like them, your baby probably will too. You don't have to only read the words on the page, you can also talk about the pictures, point to them, and relate them to things in real life. Like the baby's first word books that label body parts. You can point to the nose in the picture, then yours, then your baby's.
Reading at this age is for closeness, for letting your baby hear your soothing voice, and for getting the in the habit. As your baby grows, he or she will start to become more actively involved, point to the pictures, smile and show interest. He or she will be learning the proper way to use a book, to hold it, turn the pages, etc. The learning is just through watching you, and eventually being allowed to try it. No instruction is necessary. At this point board books with big, clear pictures and few words are good.
I started reading to my son when he was just 2 months old, and now he enjoys the books very much. He likes when we read stories together- he turns the pages, and he likes to look at them by himself. He has lots of board books so he can use them without ripping them.

it's never too early. some parents read to their children when they're still in the womb! but even though your baby may not be able to understand or comprehend the story, you could still read to them. it would be a great time to be with your baby and bond. you could read any type of childrens book, although i'd recommend a book that is for babies/toddlers and has the plastic pages that don't rip. that way if your baby tries to grab the book while you're reading, the pages won't get ripped and your baby won't get a paper cut or anything like that. plus it won't matter if your baby drools or anything on it. :]
