For Christmas this year, I am going to be makeing the usual chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies with my cousins, and m&m cookies. But also this year I am going to be making Roudolph Peanut butter Cookies. All it is a peanut butter cookie with two drops of melted chocolate for eyes, red M&M or the nose, and broken pretzels for the ears. What are you going to be making this christmas? Are you going to try something new?

We make cookies that are called sugar cookies, but I think they might be different then yours. All it takes to make them is 3 egg whites and 9 table spoons of sugar. Just beat them till nice and fluffy. Spoon them on a cookie sheet and bake them in the oven on 150 degrees for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Bake them till they dry. They are soo good and sweet. They are almost like candy.
I go to my mom's house several times to do our baking. It's easier to do it when you have someone to do it with. Not so boring that way. We make about 10 different kinds of cookies. Most of them are German recipes.

I usually make my cookies with my cousins, they are the age of 5 and 9. It keeps them busy and makes baking cookies fun too. I dont know how to make the sugar cookies.. My mom usually makes those for me and brings the dough over for the kids can cut out and decorate. But I usually just make the other ones from scratch!

"Two-colored Christmas cookies."
INGREDIENTS
* 1 (1 ounce) square unsweetened chocolate
* 3/4 cup butter
* 3/4 cup white sugar
* 1 egg
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 1 pinch salt
* 1 tablespoon orange zest
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a microwave-safe dish, melt the unsweetened chocolate, stirring frequently until smooth. Set aside.
2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. Divide dough in two. Mix orange zest into one half, and melted chocolate into the other half. Use a bit of each mixture to form a ball about 1 inch in diameter.
3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until center is set. Cool on wire racks.

Your reindeer cookies sound really cute! I am not very creatiave. I don't usually bake cookies from scracth I buy the ones that are premade with the decorations on them and just bake them. I know the homemade ones are better though.

I am just going to make sugar cookies. Last year I made empire cookies, and it was a lot of work to make these tiny sandwich cookies. I think I'll stick with squares this year - they're faster.

I don’t bake. I can’t bake. I wish I could, but I swear I don’t know what I do wrong but every time I put some thing in the oven it burns or the outside is cooked and not the inside. I have used different ovens and every thing. Don’t know what to do. If I could bake I would bake chocolate chip cookies because they are my hubbys favorite.

We usually make chocolate chip, though last year I made some sugar cookies...with homemade frosting too.
Little green pale christmas trees, lol. They weren't that bad.
But chocolate chip's my specialty. I'm not sure we'll be making cookies this year though *sad*
I will be buying some though, if anything. Probably frosted sugar cookies ^_^

My mom makes these delecious sugar cookies, which is makes into the shape of a ton of christmas stuff! Then me and my siblings decorate them with my nieces. We use colored icing! Very fun, very good cookies.
My mom also make Mexican Wedding Cakes (aka Russian Tea Cakes) for me because she knows I love them so much, very yummy!

My son has requested Gingerbread Men cookies for himself and Chocolate Chip cookies for Santa. I will probably make some other ones too. My sister requested Cherry Cobbler cookies, but I have yet to invent the recipe. I will probably leave out the Sugar cookies since we will have Gingerbread Men to decorate.
