I have been on the highest dosage of adderall for 2 years now and it scares me that I am addicted to it. I went a day without it and I nearly went insane i didnt know what to do with my self. Is there anyone who knows some alternatives to this medication and any other stories advice about this drug!

I agree with the other posters who say that you should contact your doctor about this. My daughter has been on Adderall XR for almost ten years now, and she has never had that sort of reaction when she misses a day, although there are noticeable differences in her behavior...but those are from the condition that the meds are meant to correct.

Being addicted to some kinds of medicine is not got. I have been in that situation and until now I am trying to release myself from being addicted of allergies medicine. I have read many sources that being addicted with a type of medicine give bad side to our body that is why we couldn't consume it for a long time. But what is the best way to release ourself from being addicted from medicine without worrying about the effects, such as for me, itching.

Aderall is a very addictive medication and I'm surprised your doctor hasn't done something about this before now. Does he/she know how you feel about it? If not you should definately mention it the next visit. There are a lot of alternatives but you need to speak with him/her and not with people who don't really know what your history is. Good luck!
