Well here in Southern Minnesota we have a Winter Snow Storm warning out right now for Saturday. We are expected to recieve 6 to 12 inches of snow with ice also. So the roads will be hell. It's supposed to start snowing late Saturday afternoon and end Sunday afternoon. It's about time. Do you like heavy snowfalls? Do you even like snow falls at all? HAHAHA! What's the weather supposed to be like in your area Saturday & Sunday? I can't wait for shoveable snow. My snowblower is ready to rip.

The weather has cooled down here quite a bit, but nowhere near snow weather lol. North Carolina doesn't get much snow except towards the mountains these days. So, I would be highly surprised if we had a snow storm this weekend. I think the most we will get is a good gust of wind. LOL

It's been very windy here the past few days making the 15 degree temps feel like well below zero. Oneandone I love this site. I've played with that site a lot. Thanks again oneandone.

Ok I'm not insinuating you're a fossil or anything but honestly I have never seen a person your age to like snow as much as you do. Like I told you one time you can come
and take all mine anytime, I so would not miss it!!!

Hello Grandpa Bob! I just heard this morning that we are suppose to get 1-3 inches Saturday night here in Michigan, then warming up and turning to rain all day Sunday!
So far we have had only flurries where I live, with somewhat chilly temperatures. Good thing this will hit on a week-end so the drivers around here can PRACTICE. They always seem to forget HOW to drive in the snow with that first snowfall every year.
Been reading your e-mails, but we've been pretty sick here. I'm hoping THIS virus is gone for good.

Yuck. I hate the rain/sleet/freezing rain in the winters. But I love sanow to a point. Yeah it won't affect the city here I don't think. Unless there's a lot of ice qwith the snow then they could shut down Downtown Minneapolis. HAHAHA! Get well soon also.

Hi :)
Since monday we have had 3 big snow storms that closed everything up because of the roads. The last one was yesterday and tongight we are expecting freezing rain.I like snow storms as long as it doesn't screw the electricity lines up.Ive been shoveling since monday, haha,my daughter loves it.The man who cleans our yard out with a tractor/snow blower made a big mountain of snow for her to slide on.My muscles ache everywhere, hehe.I can send you alot from here, theres alot to spare, hahahaha!!!!!Enjoy your snow thats to come grandpa bob:)

We moved from Wisconsin to Texas this past summer. While it did snow here over Thanksgiving weekend, it was only a couple of inches and gone by the next morning. I am definitely glad that was considered a LOT OF SNOW around here! I think I might fall in love with Texas!

here by the time it hits your area. I will gladly keep it.
I'm sure I'll whine as well when it hits though. HAHAHA!!

My daughter and son in law live up near you, and son in law is having to work a twelve hour shift tomorrow. Some changeovers in his work place. He is dreading working twelve hours then coming out to have to dig out his car before he can come home. He used to really love snow.

It is Champlin without the "a", I do not know who lost the "a" because the lake is Champlain, so I am waiting for someone to fess up. Son in law works at some Cold Storage place, LOL! He loves the cold and snow, just does not want to have to shovel the car out after working in it all day. J and B group in St. Michael is what the calendar says that they gave me last year. As far as missing letters, we have Smokey Valley near here, that is also Smoky Valley. Sometimes one hiway sign will say one, and the next will say the other. It is in the Smokey Hill area, along the Smoky Hill River. Spelling!!!

Hi Grandpa Bob,
Yikes! That is a LOT of snow my friend! If I had my way it would snow Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and then melt and be gone the day after Christmas! lol. That should tell you how much I like snow! Hehehehe! Have fun! We are supposed to get a little bit of snow on Sunday, but nothing major. On Monday it is supposed to go above zero celsius so that will be nice. Don't have too much fun snow blowing Hahahahahahahaha!
Luv & Hugzz, PurpleTeddyBear.

Actually for Minnesota that isn't all that much. Halloween day 1991 we got over 4 feet of snow in a 24 hour period. So one foot isn't bad. It's the ice that's expected as well that's bumming most out here. The roads will be hell by 11 p.m. when I have to get my wife from work. I can't wait to get out my big boy toy. Hee hee hee!

They can be fun at times though. I had a truck back then and
made some cash towing people from ditches and drifts. Ice bites!

Be careful, ice is not good! I live in Canada though so I know all about Hallowe'ens being almost ruined with a ton of snow, and with snowfalls in winter almost as tall as me (5'10").

Snow, snow, snow. That sure is a lot of snow. Let us know how much you do get. Be careful when driving. For Saturday we have 1-3 inches in the forcast with gusty winds. Then on Sunday... snow, sleet and freezing rain. I don't like the sleet and frozen rain, but I do like the snow.

I wish I could say the same.
I would love a heavy snow fall, it seems like snow doesn't like where I live because when it does it goes quickly and never settles above a few inches which pretty much sucks. The weather is mean't to be cold and windy here with slight downfalls on and off through-out...
Perferably I'd rather have snow.

LOL just east of you dear in Southern Michigan and we're supposed to get it late Saturday or early Sunday from what I can understand.
Actually I love big snow storms as long as I have plenty of food and Diet Pepsi - headed to the store as soon as the sun comes up to stock up on Pepsi and something chocolate just incase we can't get out - as long as I don't have to go any place - which I don't, I'll just set inside and watch it snow.

I like your new Avatar.
Here in Central CA we do not get snow. We are in a drought conditions and we are suppose to get rain on Thursday. I hope we do get rain. Our high country does not have any snow yet this year. Most ski resorts are usually opened by now but not this year.

We're supposed to get some of that here too, we got notice at work today (I work for the forestry) that we have a winter storm watch for Sunday, ice, snow, sleet, storm predicted to last 13 - 18 hours. I love the snow, of course I've only lived in PA for 2 1/2 years, and I moved here from Texas. I get excited over the first snowfall, and I run in to tell my boyfriend and he's like 'Great' he's lived here all his life. As for the roads, I just don't drive when it's really bad, I don't have the experience to drive in the snow, even with 4x4. Me and the dog love it though. I've added a picture of our first snowfall, the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

I lived in Warren PA near the three rivers. The Alleghany and 2 other Inidan names that I can't recall but it was near the Aridondacks as well so we got a lot of snow there. Cool photo as well. Thanks.

You can keep any and all snowfall. I hate it. Snow is pretty to look at, but I hate driving on it. I know how to go slow and turn very gradually and slowly, but there is always that one dipsh*t on the road that drives 90 and runs people off the road.
It's pretty to look at, fun to play in and it makes for some great photo ops, but I don't like it. It can gladly snow on the ground and buildings, but it needs to stay off the roads and bridges.

That's why you have to be like me and be a defensive driver. Can't
have a safe trip if you don't watch for others idiotic ways. I'll
glady keep it as I've been waiting for it a lot. Hahaha! Thanks.

Here it is New years Eve, and there are dainty little flakes of snow floating around. We seem to have about three feet of snow here in Minneapolis, but are expecting it to get really cold tonight and the next night. As You know: it's that darn windshield that will make it all so miserable. We have our cabin an hour north of Virginia Minnesota. We go all year round, but this time we are thinking twice because we're sure they have so much more snow up there than we have here. We would have to spend our entire week clearing the roads of snow to get in!
