Just wondering what everyone here does for Christmas?? Do you guys celebrate with family on Christmas Day or Christmas Eve?? If you celebrate on Christmas Eve, do you open gifts that night, too, or only on Christmas Day?? We still do stockings and stuff here, and open a couple gifts on Christmas Eve, and then the rest on Christmas Day, when we go to see family. Do you still decorate, even if you have grown children?? Any interesting traditions??

I wish we had that off, too....oh well lol...that's pretty much what we do, too, except for going to church since my mom can't really sit that long anymore! This may be silly, and slightly unrelated to the question LOL, but since it was my question to begin with, I'll ask anyway! Do you get to see a lot of Moose up there in the winter? I always think about Moose in the winter...I love them LOL...some people I know from Canada say they're really mean. But I can't help myself, they're so adorable! If they're a nuisance to you guys, round them up and send them here to live in my backyard! LOL

This is the first year that my mom has said that she is not sure that she is going to have Christmas at her house. We usually have a huge Xmas Eve party and then stay the night at my moms. A lot of issues have come up and I am just not in the Christmas state of mind yet.
I think that we are just going to stay home for Christmas and on Christmas night meet up with my hubby's family. But that is still up in the air.

I'm not really in "the mood" yet, either. It's been kinda hard to get anything done yet with the new baby...I barely even started shopping! Hopefully you guys will make some good plans, maybe even start a new tradition!

We open our presents on Christmas day after I get home from morning services and my older son and daughter-in-law come over after Mass. My other son comes over around lunch and then we all open our presents. We have one of those fiber optic trees, and we also have lot of nuts and candies, chocolates, etc. We do not have a fireplace and so no stockings. Besides the presents are too large to fit them in the stockings. We have not decided on who has dinner on Christmas day, or who on Christmas eve, as there is now my daughter=in=law's mother and stepfather, her grandmother, and her father and stepmother in competition. It is going to be very confusing.

my mother moved last year in november, she now lives 240 miles away from me.
before she moved, my son and i would go to my mum and dads house every christmas and spend it with my whole family.
last year i spent it with my dad and brothers (my parents still own the house near to me), this year my son, boyfriend and i will be traveling to my mums and we will all have christmas there.
i do decorate a tree, even if i wont be here as my son likes to have it up before chrismas, just to get into the mood of chritmas i guess.
