The Lady who sued Kmart for Taxed Toliet Paper

A old lady went all out the way in Pennsylvania to sue Kmart because they taxed her for toliet paper because it is tax free there. She hired a lawyer and everything and won $100. LOL!

LOL I'm sure it was the "principle" of it all!! Not about the money! What was the hundred bucks for? I mean they didn't tax her that did they?? I bet she paid more for the lawyer than she did the $100. How silly. Somethings should just be left alone, this was one of them! Bay Lay Gray xx

Yeah, she said it wasn't about the money and all she wanted to prove was a point but it still doesn't make any since to me to waste time. She was only charged state tax...not $100!

That lawyer she hired and paid is thankful for "principle" lol I'm sure it wasn't that cheap to hire him, definately more than $100, she lost out big time! LOL Bay xx

what a waste of the court's time! sorry, but i think that this is true because there are so many murderers walking around! its crazy!

I'm glad she did something about it instead of complaining. But, I think there were other ways of handling it instead of taking it to court. For one, she could have brought the issue up to the store manager, or report the store to the state agencies that handle these things. Court should be used only when all other options are exhausted.
