Are you participating in a Toy Run this year?

Are you participating in a Toys for Tots or another similar run this year? I know they start about now for the holiday season. Is the one you go to huge or small? And what charity is it for? Toys for Tots, a local children's shelter, etc?? Tell us all about it.

Yeah! I never miss Toys for Tots. This is the best time of year for bikers where I am from. The weather is awesome and thousands turn out!!! The run is over 20 miles long and as long as the speed stays steady everything runs smoothly. There used to be a little old lady (in her 80s) who started the run on her 3 wheeled bicycle. She was really cool! I think she must have passed away; we don't see her anymore.

This year we are going to miss it. My husband can't ride for a few more weeks do to a set back, but we'll catch the runs after the new year I hope. I don't know where you live, but same with us - the weather is usually great in December.
Hey - maybe the lady didn't pass away. Maybe something happened with her eyesight or health and she just cannot ride anymore. I would ask around. If she is still around it might really brighten her day if a few bikes showed up at her house for a visit to let her know she is thought about.
